Santa Clara County Behavioral Health Services — Attraction in San Jose

I understand that county-employed social workers and doctors are overworked but this is ridiculous. My psychiatrist barely speaks to me. I have to fight for each and every appointment even though my psychiatrist prescribes myltiple meds that I need to discuss with her. At one point she put me on 3 different antidepressants at the same time, along with mood stabilizers. The max amount of time you will get with ur psychiatrist is 10 min phone calls every few months, and that's only if you're extremely sick. You aren't even allowed a phone number for your doctor. You have to contact a social worker, who contacts the doctor (hopefully), then you get a call from a restricted number. You aren't allowed to record your own doctor appointments. I begged and begged my psychiatrist for a referral to the ADHD specialist because I was diagnosed and absolutely need (non-amphetamine based, non abusable) meds for it. I've been begging for 2 years. She said she submitted a request for this MULTIPLE times and that they were all refused. I just had to get my medical records for a disability application. She didn't do anything of the sort. When I confronted her, she said "Well LOTS of people need to see the specialist, not just you". Mainly my issue is how hard it is to get ahold of anyone. You will have to fight tooth and nail to get the lowest...

Well, personally it's hit and miss with this organization. I've had a doctor 'punish me for being late by threatening to lower my medication (And eventually did!). Needless to say at the advice of other MD's I, fired him. Now, I'm waiting 4 days to get a prescription refilled and the doctor has disappeared! I've been completely out for 4 days and not a word from her office. Coved-19 or, no Coved-19 'it's no way to run a rail road' as the say. Not to mention completely inconsiderare, negligent and,, by all means unprofessional. They, service the County jail as well and many times you do get the impression that you're being treated like a criminal although, there may be absolutely no reason for such...
