Old Barn Antique Mall Inc — Attraction in San Juan Capistrano

I wouldn't waste your time at the Old Barn, the place is so over priced and when we asked the desk clerk about a stained shirt being sold on the floor, if she could call the vendor and maybe we could be given a 10% discount she refused to make the call and so we put the item back and walked out. The clerk on the floor had mentioned to us for us to go to the desk clerk and that she'd be more than happy to call the vendor and most likely they would agree and give you a 10% discount, it wasn't the case, the girl at the desk was just either too hyper confident or lazy to even bother thinking that instead stating "no one will notice" to customer would suffice but the stained collar WAS noticeable or I would not have been asking. It can be done, it has been done. Most Antique vendors would love to have a sale and would want to be asked if there is a question on an item re: 10% rather than lose a sale and stay holding the damaged inventory but not the Old Barn at San Juan Capistrano. We've been there other times it just hasn't been worth the drive. If you see an item you like at Antique mall but they wont lower the price check online platforms such as, ebay, etsy, etc. as you will probably find it cheaper. Remember you are the one doing the Antique Stores a favor by showing up in person as foot traffic customers as one could always make purchases instead on...

I think I’m actually not going to come to this store anymore. I have spent so much money here, but I cannot stand the attitude of the staff anymore. They have 0 respect or patience for their customers. They didn’t update their hours on Google so people know they’re closing early for the Super Bowl, so as soon as I got there they announced that they’re closing at 4:45. This irritated me but whatever, no big deal, I’ll just look around super fast, I had 15 minutes, because there was a specific item I knew was there and I wanted to buy. I walked by an employee and then he told me that they’re closing in five minutes. I was confused and tried to point out that they literally just announced what time they’re closing but he just cut me off and said, no, we’re closing early. Make up your mind and don’t cut me off. I’ve had many other negative experiences with the employee’s attitudes. They seem like they look down on all of their customers and I will no longer be supporting a business that a clearly does not actually...

The Old Barn Antique Mall is just an incredible place to browse and Shop. If you are in the area and I mean within 20 or 30 miles and you have an hour or so stop by to browse. If you don't find something that you like and would like to buy I would be surprised. There are so many nooks and crannies in this place and there's everything from albums to jewelry to pottery and of course antiques which a lot of the items are. There's some clothing and most of all there is just a lot of fun to go and hang out with your better half. I was told today that you can negotiate prices and I believe it has to be over a certain amount but they will actually call the vendor if he or she isn't there and negotiate over the phone with them. This place is just a lot of fun. Plus there are a lot of fine eateries in the area well within walking distance that might take you 5 minutes at the maximum....
