Carefree Pools & Spas — Attraction in San Luis Obispo

Five year Update: We have had zero problems with our pool. It has now been five years of enjoyment and complete satisfaction.

Our pool is nearly completed and I would recommend Carefree Pools to anyone without any reservation. It has been a thoroughly professional and friendly experience. We first approached Carefree Pools about 5 years ago at the earliest stage of considering a pool due to their reputation and experience. They patiently stuck with us, and when we were ready, they came up with a flawless design: siting, dimensions, decking and all the technical considerations were handled with ease. We had several engineering issues which they handled with our complete confidence. I am very indecisive and they always listened to my concerns and offered options. I fussed over the color of the coping stones ad nauseam and they went to great lengths to obtain exactly what I wanted. I also held up progress for weeks stressing over the size of the decking, Never did they pressure me to settle - instead they patiently laid out a plan that satisfied every concern and looks lovely. (Never did they say "we suggested this months ago" but, actually, I think they had)

Building a pool merits serious forethought on the part of the homeowner. Mike McClure of Carefree Pools guided us through this process -- clearly explaining every step and decision with the ease of an extremely experienced professional. Josh Petersen rapidly responded to every question along the way making the whole process efficient, with zero "surprises" or unanticipated costs. Building this pool has been a very satisfying experience on every level. As we enjoy it for decades to come, we will thank Carefree Pools.

We came into Carefree Pools last week to talk to them about service for our above ground lap pool that we were purchasing. We discussed many aspects of care and if they were able to install the solar panel and even upright our pool for us. We spoke to a gentleman, I think his name is Ryan, but I could be wrong who said they would be happy to get some service started and to just come back and see them when we were set but they did not do installations or assembly of pools. The receptionist was pleasant as well. We left with the feeling that they would be able to assist us with monthly service when we were ready. We go in today (11/29/2016) to discuss starting service and if they were able to install the solar panel. We did not speak to the original person from last week and after we reiterated what our needs were, at that time another gentleman told us "we don't service above ground pools". What a waste of time! It all began with Matt in Sales, who took the time to walk us through every feature of the Bullfrog A7. He provided a wealth of information and even coordinated a home/site visit with Keith to evaluate our backyard setup. Thanks to their knowledge and guidance, making the decision to purchase a Bullfrog was easy and stress-free.

The delivery and installation service was over-the-top excellent! Keith and his team were phenomenal. They removed our old hot tub and tackled a very challenging delivery with determination and professionalism. Despite several obstacles, Keith made sure our new spa was placed perfectly.

Not only did he handle the setup and water fill, but he also gave us a detailed walkthrough of the spa’s features and maintenance tips. The level of customer service was outstanding.
