I will begin by saying I am floored that PCG received such negative reviews within the past few months; I couldn't disagree more. I will clear a few discrepancies I just read from a few reviews. First of all, kids do not get held back from moving to the next level based on any type of discrimination or favoritism. Let me share my family's experience with you. My oldest daughter Olivia (four years old at the time) began PCG mid-July of last year (2018). She began in the 4&5 year old co-ed class. She started out attending one day a week, then we went to two days a week since she fell in love with the class experience, knowledge she developed AND Coaches. Mid October BOTH Coach Ellie and Coach Lynn moved her up to level 1, which for her age was Seastars. She was still attending two days a week and wanted more. She loved it. And let me say, Olivia is a very shy, quiet- introvert till she gets to know new people and new places. Not here, she blossomed so quickly. She actually carried these values to school and grew there too. Teachers’ were very impressed with how she came into her own since attending PCG. Forward to a month ago, mid January (two months later!) both Coach Lynn and Coach Allison moved Olivia to Level 2 -girls’ class. YES, that quickly! Olivia turned five January 6th and is currently the youngest in both her classes. Let me also add that my daughter is biracial. There are tons of ethnicities AND gender that attend PGC every day. There isn't any discrimination here at all! We also have my youngest daughter Alexis that just started last month in the 3-year-old co-ed class last month. She currently attends once a week and has Coach Lynn. Alexis adores Coach Lynn. She has so much fun walking in her sister’s footsteps that took places only seven months ago. It’s awesome to see Alexis and other students’- siblings begin their journey here. Our happiness is always greeted by a receptionist that is happy, always smiling, to an amazingly sweet, caring and extremely well knowledgeable co-owner Coach Janet, to all the outstanding Coaches' we've had so far currently attend Pacific Coast Gymnastics. At the end of every class, all the kids and parents are just so happy. I’ve even met a few new mommy friends while watching my girls practice. The atmosphere is just so refreshing when we all know that this world can be so brutal. This place has become a part of our family and community. I’ve referred three friends that currently have a child that attends there and they too feel the same. I hope this very long, but HONEST review helps those of you that are looking for a place to help your child grow physically, emotionally and of course to...
Read moreNice little gym but my issue is with management.
I had just enrolled my daughter a few weeks ago. Everything seemed to be going great. We went every Thurs for 3 weeks—no issue. Until I received notices of “non payment” and already charged a late fee! So rather than notifying me by phone (which I would assume would be the quickest) they not only took a few days AFTER initial payment to clear my account, they allowed the charge to roll over and fine me twice rather than giving me a courtesy call. So then I decided to call and straighten the payment issue out, and the lady on the phone told me they won’t drop my daughter as long as I made the payment before her next class. Ok, cool. Made the payment again, attended the third class and surprise surprise— I get an email my daughter was dropped due to “non payment”. When I messaged MANAGEMENT about this issue, they allowed me to make a payment AGAIN, but that the spot my daughter once had was taken. That fast! What makes this even worse was that management had the nerve to email me rudely because I posted I was “dissatisfied” with the business. Save yourself the headache and money and go somewhere else where the management is actually professional and doesn’t email such obnoxious passive aggressive attitude! And call clients rather than hiding behind a...
Read moreYes and No. before enrolling my daughter they provided a free trial class. After she was enrolled for sea otters the same workouts rolls for months without advancing. The coaches dont give a shit if your kid paying attention or no. At times when my daughter she is 4 only the in the stretching session if she is doing g a wrong move or looking the other side they dont give a shit to correct her, even when doing some balancing or gripping move at several times they did not do anything they seem just want to finish the 45 min without injury. A 4 years old get bored from repetitive moves without adding improvements. When i drop her from class because i was not satisfied no one gives a shit to ask why. The management seems focussed on the elder kids as there are multiple coaches there including the owners and seems they are doing g great. But unfortunately the little ones...
