I live and work right down the street from here. I have eaten here pleanty of times. I cannot even imagine what has happened that made this place turn into such a waste of time. LITTERALLY.
Over the years I have lived in the same neighborhood as the Money Pit, I have eaten here many many times. It is close, and the staff was always friendly.
A month ago, my mother drove from my house (not even a mile away) to the Money Pit in order to get three adults and one kids meal. 50 MINUTES LATER she comes home having been in the drive thru that whole time!!! Ok, 50 minute wait... the food should be in perfect order and have been worth the wait - cooked fresh as their menu states. An order of fries was missing, and the fries we did get were cold, one of the sandwiches was wrong (there was tomato on it when ordered without), and the drinks had no ice, or the ice had melted completely... one of them was completely wrong!!!
Flash forward another month. I decided to give them another try. I thought that maybe they had just had some "off" time. Although that last time it was only 3:00 pm and not their dinner rush, I thought that maybe they had a bad day. I was greeted with another 45 minute wait, rude service, incorrect drinks, AND they still couldn't get my order right.
We tried calling once to tell them that they were lacking on their customer service skills and that they managed to mess up our order, but we were only greeted by a rude manager, who only wanted to know if he could give us a coupon. I get that now-a-days it seems like all anyone wants is a freebie, but I genuinly called to tell them that they were slipping. Simply stated, I refused the coupon and said that they would be lucky to get my business back.
What a shame. I really liked this place. Too bad I wouldn't ever go back OR recommend it to...
Read moreThe way I pull into the parking lot, I literally drive right by a Taco shop drive through to order a bacon breakfast burrito from Money Pit. Let me rephrase, I drive by a restaurant that specializes in this cuisine for one that doesn't. My choice isn't about convenience since both have a drive through. Money Pit even has a "slow" drive through compared to others including said taco shop I pass by. I'll wait and wait before I go next door. It's that good.
*one year later, I just did a drive through order. All was normal until I got to the window. Woman wearing a medical mask cracked the window just enough to take my card for payment. (A little rude but no big deal) then a different person, without a mask cracked the window enough to hand me my order then immediately slammed the window shut while I was mid sentence asking for salsa. Are you guys harboring the plague in there or something? This used to be a no fail place for food. Hence my previous glowing review. I called to get an explanation for the weird actions I had just witnessed. The lady who answered only kept asking what was wrong with my order. Not acknowledging or understanding the twilight zone type ordeal that just occurred. Wtf happened to this place? This is only the latest but possibly the most bizarre shortcoming this restaurant has shown over the last 20 years of my patronage. I'll give it one last chance even though I've been reading the writing on the wall for some time. You're literally about to lose a long time customer because your staff has become so rude under your...
