Sunset park is huge! It has two completely different sides to it separated by a bridge. This is definitely a redo park in our book because it has so much going for it! The playgrounds do seem a little dirty though and could use a pressure wash or refresh.
💰This park is free 🎠2 playgrounds (only 1 with swings) - one with mulch and the other with rubber/mulch combination surfaces. 🚙The playgrounds are far away from each other and they both have their own parking lot but they are connected by paved sidewalks and a bridge. The playground with swings is off La Miranda Drive and the playground with rubber surface can be accessed off Puesta Del Sol. 💦Splash pad 🧺Shaded picnic tables at both playground areas 🖼Large fields 🐶Enclosed dog park 🚲Sidewalk surrounding the park perfect for running, roller blading, and riding bikes or scooters 🏒Hockey arena 🏐Sand volleyball courts 🏀Basketball courts ⛳️Frisbee...
Read moreMy family and I visited this park yesterday evening and we really enjoyed it here! It’s very clean & spacious. I love that there are two playgrounds; one for older kids and the other is shaded and designed with little kids in mind. So, both of my toddler and 2 older kids were able to enjoy both playgrounds. There were several parties going on so just a little crowded at the playgrounds at first but that was ok. Love that there are so many cool amenities for the entire family to enjoy from 2 sets of playgrounds, dog park, open fields, the splash pad, baseball field, basketball courts, swings, walking trail, volleyball & so much more! There’s plenty of sitting & eating areas; such a great place to host a family gathering at Sunset park. Looks like the splash pad is under maintenance but hopefully, we can come back to play in the water soon. We will definitely be visiting...
Read moreThis park is definitely smaller than pictures present it as but is still a lot of fun for everyone. Well shaded play stuctures with lots to do for all ages. Lots of climbing structures, spinning seats, seesaw, and things for little tykes to manipulate. The splash pad is fun and I like that it is designed to overflow into a surrounding creek. The creek was fun for the little boys to watch and imagine fish in.
I wish there were more mature trees providing shade in the grassy areas for pucnicing. The 2 pergolas were retened out for parties yet no one dumped the trash inbetween party rental times. Also the creek had some stagnent points that looked unclean. I wish the flow was better managed to keep everything...
