I don't know where to start.... we have just embarked on the journey to have Sunset West USA take ownership on the poor quality of their furnishings. To date, (2 weeks post delivery), we still have had no manager or rep come out to our property to inspect our items.
As background, we worked with an interior designer to purchase nearly $50,000 of the Provence line of furnishings and custom upholstery through Sunset West. Once the furniture arrived, we discovered the following issues:
I am blown away by the quality control issues we've experienced, not to mention the poor level of customer service. As a San Diego resident, we try to support local businesses where we can. Since Sunset West is based in San Diego, we thought we'd be getting a better quality product and follow through on customer service. Little did we know. In hindsight, we should have just gone with a national patio line.
It gives me no pleasure to write a negative review. But, frankly, companies like Sunset West need to take responsibility for their product quality instead of passing the blame and dragging their feet, regardless of how much a consumer spends.

Read moreOrdered an outdoor dining table from one of Sunset West outdoor furniture suppliers in May of 2021. I had to prepay the entire amount, in full. I was told the current wait was 8-12 weeks and to expect the table in late July 2021. The beginning of August rolls around and I inquire and am told now it’ll be late September. The date ends up getting pushed back, lie after lie. I was even told it was “on its way to the distribution center” in November of 2021. Now half way though January of 2022, nothing. I’m currently being told February to March? Really? It’s outdoor furniture. 90% of the country isn’t even buying outdoor furniture in the winter and they still cannot get me my product. I cannot even believe I am going to be coming up on a YEAR, in a couple of months. I have no options but to wait since we specifically ordered the table to match our other furniture.
I completely understand with covid that the entire world supply chain is been turned upside down, however as a company you cannot still be selling people products that you know will not be in for serval months, feeding lies so that they will still purchase. As further more, this company chargers premium prices for furniture that is clearly made over seas. Now it might be quality, but for the price I believe you can get another brand made in the USA. Please look away and be warned. I know I’m not the first one with this...
Read moreDisappointing experience. Finish on my new Laguna alum table came off when my husband used Dawn spray. First they claim it’s out of warranty period (it wasn’t), then they claim we used harsh chemicals. Won’t respond on whether Dawn is considered a harsh chemical or they think I’m a liar. Only option was to get a “paint kit” which was two small nailpolish bottles with no instructions, or buy a new table for 50% off (🤣🤣🤣🤣). Skip this brand - expensive and TERRIBLE...
