We visited Huntington Library and Gardens in February 2020. Due to time restraints we were only able to visit two of the Gardens. This review is for the Japanese Garden. We had perfect weather for our first visit to the Japanese Garden. After paying our entry fee we followed the signs to the Japanese Garden. The stroll to the garden was enjoyable, the paths easy to navigate, and the scenery interesting. The weather was a perfect 74 degrees and the sky was dotted with marbled grey-white clouds which enhanced the backdrop of the garden and added a nice extra touch. We entered the Japanese Garden to a nice vista of gorgeous uniquely shaped Cypress trees carefully planted along the water features, wonderfully constructed bridges and other unique Japanese building structures. Many of the water features produced pleasant water sounds that enhanced the experience. The garden was planted on gentle rolling hills and the juxtaposition of the plants and structures was simply amazing. Since it was early pre-Spring many of the trees and shrubs were brilliantly blooming. The water reflected the trees and architectural features and the clouds in the sky to create an amazing magical experience. There is a nice collection of Bonsai Trees and a carefully arranged "lake" consisting of small pebbles formed into waves. We thoroughly enjoyed our leisurely stroll and only wished we had more time to enjoy it. Highly...
Read moreThis place isn't exactly a cheap venue to visit, but if you are in the area and have time, it's worth the cost. As a whole for the Huntington Gardens, there is a wide variety of things to see and do here, such as the Library (which includes a Gutenberg Bible), several art galleries, a desert garden, a Chinese garden, an adjacent Japanese garden, and so much more! Having visited this place several times since childhood, I strongly recommend this place if you want to visit. By the way, parking doesn't come by easily, so be careful about how and when you arrive. Allen Avenue, despite being a residential street in part, is the most direct way to the parking from I-210 despite what signs suggest.
Since this is specifically about the Japanese Garden, I rate that part highly and is perhaps my favourite part (with some tough competition from the nearby Chinese Garden). That wooden bridge is forbidden from pedestrian traffic, so just look and admire from a fair and reasonable distance. This garden is very photogenic, so take all the photos you want!
All being said, five stars is the bare minimum I can give and I would give mich higher if I would. Respect the plants and structures, and enjoy your visit to...
Read moreDr Rozita is amazing very nice and knowledgeable of natural health. I brought my mom here because they don't charge much like other naturopath. My mom suffered from many symptoms including severe weakness, imbalance, headache, hormone imbalance, rash, infections, blood sugar etc. She has consulted with many MD, neuropaths etc but didn't feel any better they only suggested drugs that have so many side effects without addressing the root cause. Natural health Dr is not cheap, as they do comprehensive blood test and many supplements, but they are totally worth every penny! The food we have now is different from food our anchestors ate. They don't give us nutrients our body needs also full of toxins from pesticides etc. Supplements and IV replace the nutrients our body desperately need to recover. My mom feels so much better now in just a few months with some IV treatment and lots of supplements and changing diet and lifestyle. My mom is a proof our body can heal itself with the right nutrition and care from the natural doctor. Thanks so much Dr Rozita and the team at her office all are very nice and...
