During the brief whirlwind circus that doubled as "judicial process" at Marin County (after I remanded myself into custody voluntarily, mind you) I was first handed off by the assistant public defender to a law clerk. As if the "options" they put in front of me didn't sufficiently display their apathy and lack of preparation for my case, watching them stumble and stammer through a cookie cutter "defense" I began to have misgivings about have chosen their representation over defending myself as a sovereign citizen. Their complete contempt was made clear when I sat there in shock as the Assistant DA, Assistant Public Defender, and the Judge (who had been slouched smirking in his chair up to this point, absentmindedly twirling a necklace or something around on his finger like a daydreaming schoolboy) proceeded to murmur together for several minutes, laughing openly a several points, as apparently the handling of my case with some (any, for that matter) degree of decorum or respect was the furthest thing from their minds. Between their immature behavior and the clownish demeanor of the baliff/corrections deputies who are apparently not held to any sort of standard with regards to the ability to speak proper English or manage their emotionally-charged, over the top (and possibly steroid-enhanced) responses to perceived "threats" (such as several Hispanic fellows (presumably foreign nationals) who seemed to not immediately understand directives on where to place their feet while sitting awaiting their turn in the proverbial barrel), I thought perhaps I'd slipped into a William Burroughs story, the darkest parts of my sense of humor hooting and hollering merrily. All in all, an embarrassment to the institutions of justice across the State of California and the US of A. Two...
Read moreIt's clearly that Judge Franko in Marin is a judge biased and for profit, from his demeanor and after finding how well staged and costly the court system is ensuring that people don't fight for their rights.
The police has a quota to meet. The officer in court didn't provide me with answers, he said he didn't remember. Judge Franko was rude from the very beginning saying that if I have no questions to ask I shouldn't be there. The record equipment in court doesn't work, or they don't know how to work it. But most importantly If a judge repeats the word per word of what the officer says and disregards facts and have you guilty, mind you it happen to all cases there in a pattern unless the officer wasn't present. You may start thinking twice about fair trials. Last one here the clerk office ask if you if you would like to wave your rights for a speedy trial. This means you are asking to revoke your rights, they insist in asking that without explanation. So must citizens believe on the system say ok without knowing what they sign up for. If an officer decides to reply to your case many months later he can. It was also asked in a pattern. This is a for profit place and not a court for the people. Most residents or commuters will tell you the same, beware as your...
Read moreThis is one of the weirdest government complex of buildings ever created. Yes, designed by the late, great Frank Lloyd Wright, and very "futuristic-looking" from the outside. It's actually a giant gerbil run with confusing long hallways, and difficult-to-find government offices and Court rooms. And a nice county Library. Insufficient elevators, escalators, and bathrooms. Poor ADA layout, difficult to find offices, with thousands of highly-paid government workers hiding out in their spaces and trying not to be found - lest they might have to do more "official" government work! Ghosts of past crimes, and historic events! Definitely a tourist location - a place for a good big hike! Just don't get lost in the labyrinth of it all! (And if you actually need to do some official government business or GO to COURT, allow plenty of time to find where you...
