La Hacienda San Rafael — Restaurant in San Rafael

Food was good but the order was messed up. No jalapeños nor onions on the Huarache, even though I paid extra for them. And no chicken on the Chiles Rellenos. I called the restaurant to let them know of the order being wrong. They told me they don't put meat on the Chiles Rellenos. So, if they don't put meat in the Chiles Rellenos, why do they have a "choose your meat" option on the menu (See receipt)?

So lesson learned...check the order before leaving the restaurant, and don't automatically tip when placing the order.

Now more to the story, since I ordered online I contacted Menustar which handles their online menu. Menustar contacted the restaurant and now La Hacienda says they don't have that menu. How can you not have a menu that is published and forces you to select a type of meat on the Chile Rellenos?

Beware, they may not honor the menu that is posted online and just make substitutions as...

This used to be one of my favorite taquerias, I went in today and decided to get the caldo de mariscos.. i have to say that I am chef, but man was I disappointed. The one piece of real crab smelled as it had come out of a skunks butt! I told the waitress and she kinda gave a smile and said “I will give 10% off for the inconvenience” i said to her I don’t want free food or discounts! I want to prevent this from happening to someone else., bottom line is you guys have lost a customer for good., if you keep serving expired seafood prepare for people to act and don’t look surprised when a city closes...

Really good Mexican food and great price too. I have lived close by for years and always saw this place from the freeway, but never thought about stopping bye. Because of the pandemic we started buying from there - doordash and now I go in to pick up and have eaten inside. They have a really good variety of menu options and some you don't usually find at other Mexican restaurants such as chimichanca . The only trick if you are not eating there is to ask them to place sides separate. We noticed that specially for food that is fried like chimichanca it will get soaked if you don't...
