Pretty nice place to visit. Especially if you don’t mind being accosted by dogs. Somebody please explain to me if Massachusetts has a leash law, why are these dogs allowed to approach and sniff peoples crutches?? Once again walking with my girlfriend, 5‘3“, 100 pounds, approached by a large German Shepherd. The owner sees the dog running towards us, doesn’t even call the dog back. It’s beautiful! One rude “local” ruined it for us though. She took up two parking spaces and then started barking orders at us because we parked behind her giant white truck while we were loading or kayak. She could have asked nicely but she was very rude. Her dog was also off leash and didn’t listen very well. She claimed she was going to report us for being tourists…. Isn’t that the point? Great place to launch a kayak or SUP and walk your dog. Just watch out for the dog poop everywhere because people don't clean up. Parking is very limited and fills up in the summer. Location is state property and parking rules are enforced. Don't be stupid and block emergency access gates or the road in like people often do here. Your vehicle will be towed, fined, and/or pushed out of the way in an emergency if necessary....
