This delightful, cozy Cafe' is owned and operated by Riverview Schools. The regular Cafe staff are friendly, hardworking and make incredible muffins, breakfast sandwiches, smoothies, coffee (hot/iced/latte/expresso++). Indoor and deck seating, fast TO GO service. Lunch is an amazing array of Salads/Sandwiches/Quiche and more. The BEST thing about Cafe Riverview is it employs its students, who are helpful, hardworking and pleasant. They gain valuable hands-on experience that they can utilize during & after graduation! Impeccably clean. They have their own garden out back! Right thru the door is the Riverview Thrift Shop where you can browse, purchase AND Donate, again, with the profits being returned to the Riverview School. Massive disappointment that Cafe Riverview, a place I have ordered from hundreds of times over the years, no longer serves sandwiches on gluten-free bread. GF sandwiches are now on a bagel, which give me sores in my mouth every time I eat one (and they don’t taste very good imo). While they have a few other options for GF people, not everyone wants a quinoa bowl, soup or salad. For people with wheat allergies or celiac disease, this menu has less than half the options that it used to. I believe this restaurant should be more supportive of people with allergies and specific dietary needs. It saddens me that I can no longer support the students of Riverview School as a result of this unfortunate...

What a great little spot on 6A in Sandwich! This charming cafe is run by the Riverview School and staffed by many of their students. A perfect spot to get coffee, breakfast or lunch as you explore historic and scenic Old King’s Highway. The food is good, the seats and tables are clean and comfy - as are the restrooms - and there is plenty of easy parking. Don’t forget to stop in and visit the attached thrift shop, also run the the school, for a good selection of gently used clothing and other household items.
