We have been hiking Bell Canyon for a few years now. We love it. We have hiked it during the summer, Spring, and Fall. All of those times are great.

The hike is so much fun. It is absolutely gorgeous. The hike is a moderate hike. It is straight up, but it is not brutal. There are spots to have a small picnic, and rest if you need it.

The Fall is the time I love to go most. The changing leaves and lake are so pretty. The hike is much cooler which is good since the uphill does make it feel hotter.

The Spring is my second favorite. You can see the trees bloom or already have bloomed. The trail is still cool which makes it nice.

In the Summer, go in the evening or morning. Finding parking can be a challenge too. The hike is beautiful. The lake and trees look amazing.

I have not done this yet during the winter. I would highly recommend this hike. It is awesome. The pictures that I have are of the Spring and Fall time. As you can see, the hike is absolutely gorgeous. This...

Did the hike to lower falls on Saturday 04/27/24. It rained, like poured, the whole hike. Still beautiful though.

It is an uphill hike nearly the entire way to the falls. It isn’t a hard hike but very technical! Especially with rain, mud, ice and snow on the trail.

It probably would have taken me 2h 20mins at my own pace (former athlete), but took my spouse and I, 2h 45mins at a pace in between what we typically do on our own. Took us (85-90 mins to get to the falls).

Trail was very muddy, active runoff water from snowmelt and rain. Snow and ice at the last part of the trail close to the falls.

I would recommend poles for hiking down or up in these current conditions. We did without but would bring next time.

Side note, if you feel uncomfortable hiking the bits up to the first part of the river or just after, best to turn around. The last rocky ascent before the falls is much more technical than...

Okay here's the cold hard truth, beautiful hike 100% but good lord that was the most difficult hike I have ever done and there are some spots that you can jump in the river but I think the waterfall is only accessible if you make it to the upper falls portion, I for one hit the lower falls portion and called it good. I don't do very many hikes I'm an average guy and I was literally walking back from the waterfall thinking okay bro you got this your going to survive, almost had a heat stroke and ran out of water (had 120fl oz) on my way back about at mile 4 out of 6 lol, 10/10would not recommend unless you truly love hiking. It is almost all uphill so if your not prepared you might want to train a bit. Also kinda easy to get lost so many turn offs on the route I took. So all in all I'm 100% glad I did this as an achievement but I will not be back until I am fit af. Good...
