Was a great and easy hike to do with little kids. The views going up to the hike were beautiful and the flowers were awesome to this time of year. The creek is fast flowing now since the water runoff is pretty high, but otherwise pretty awesome. The geese were pretty intense and definitely wanted our lunch when we got to the reservoir, but it was overall a gorgeous and fun hike.

I’ve done this hike dozens of times walking and running, In the heat, in the snow and everything in between. It’s fun everytime! I generally use the granite trailhead although you can park on Wasatch a little bit south and take a different way up. The reservoir is only a short 15 minutes away or less. I think it’s about a half mile. If you keep going up the trail the waterfall is a steep mile away. Very pretty...

Great short hike to the reservoir that is perfect for kids. My kids have hours of fun playing in the spillway and the creek that feeds the little spillway pond. There are ducks and wild life and a really cool tree on the way up with knarly roots exposed. Good fishing spots and big boulders to scramble on.
