Beautiful Trail, well maintained near Government Camp. Huge parking lot with plenty of parking so I suspect it gets busy although I did a sunrise hike on a Wednesday morning and had no problem with parking. I was a little bit leery just because there was some broken safety glass on the ground and it is directly off the highway which 10 to make me a little bit leery, however I had no problems and the hike was amazing. Didn't come across any hikers on the way out, there was one family camped by the lake. I didn't know you can hike out and camp overnight. I'd like to put that on my list of things to do in the future. Passed a few people on the way back out around 8:00 a.m. and the parking lot was starting to pick up a little bit. The lake is beautiful and you can hike all the way around although the trail on the one side of the lake was very overgrown and very wet because it was early in the morning. I am 5'3 and the bushes were hitting me in the head and I was soaked by the time I got through. But it wasn't cold and it was still worth that! Pretty much anyone can make this hike. There are some uphills on the way out but it's nice with the downhills on the way back. They take good care of...

Mirror Lake is apopular trail all-year-round. It has some inclines throughout the trail. Going to and from the lake is about four miles total.

However, instead of going right towards the lake, yiu take a right at the fork and head towards the "Tom, Dick and Harry Mountain trail. Its an additional two miles up. The last half-mile is a steep incline with loose rocks that can cause serious injury if youre not paying attention. Once you have reach the top, you will want to sit back and admire the 360-degree view of the mountains.

On-site, there are two public bathrooms available and dogs are allowed on the trail. They must be on leash to walk the trail.

On the sides of the trail, there are Huckleberry bushes to pick off the berries and enjoy a sweet treat during your hike.

This trail can be VERY popular; especially on the weekends. I would advise getting there before 9am to ensure you have a parking spot. If the lot is full, there's additional parking by Ski-Bowl....

Mirror Lake Trailhead Tuesday 10/6/2020. Started on trail at 2am. One other vehicle in the lot when I arrived. Trailhead has two vaulted toilets with air fresheners and well stocked with toilet paper. Trashcan behind bathrooms. Picnic table, bike parking and trail information board in front of bathrooms. There are two handicap parking spaces here and the trail is handicap accessible for .27 miles after that it becomes Forrested dirt with a gradual up hill. The parking area holds 30+ vehicles and was more than halfway full when we were finished hiking at 10:30am. There was broken glass in the parking lot (looked like from break ins). The TH is right of the highway (right next to Skibowl). You need a Northwest Forrest Pass ($30), America the Beautiful Pass ($80) or pre purchase a day pass ($5) as there is no fee pay station at this TH. Remember pack it in, pack it out. Leave no trace. Leave the trails better than...
