Pennywise Market — Attraction in Santa Barbara

I love coming to this store to explore the many different spices they have on hand so many. Prices are some of the best in town also! They have tons of different jarred sauces like butter chicken, korma, tikka masala, dopiaza curry and many more curries. They have packaged ready to eat Indian food from India!!! Everything I had is super tasty. Just watch for the 3 chili pepper ones if your a wimp like me. Bulk spices, alternative flours. Then they have this great frozen bread selection. This tiny corner store down the street from Trader Joe's hides a plethora of snacks, spices, Indian food, and a ton of pleasant conversation. I've recently gotten hooked on Indian snacks and Pennywise offers a huge selection at prices just as good as that bigger store.

The owners are very sweet and I'm just as likely to stop by to say hi as I am to shop, but I always end up buying something. I'd rather they get my money than a big corporation.
