SBIFF Riviera Theatre — Attraction in Santa Barbara

I've NEVER had a Movie Pass card declined ever before anywhere except here. The clerk swiped it & almost immediately said declined and said, "Try signing in again" as if she knew how it works (you cannot do it twice)..nonetheless I walked away, checked my phone for any signs of errors, & then went back, & the same clerk took my card & almost immediately handed it back ...it was so fast I had a difficult time believing she actually swiped it. And she said declined. So I paid out of pocket. she looked surprised that I had a credit card as if I was so poor. the ONLY time this ever happened. If you're looking to watch international, or Independent films the Santa Barbara international film festival Riviera theater is probably the best place to find movies or films to watch. I like the seating and the sound system. Although the price of the snacks is too high I often just sneak my own snacks in. I've even brought bottles of wine inside without any issue. Typically the other attendees are senior citizens. It's nice sometimes that there are no young kids being noisy here. Sometimes the senior citizens fall asleep though. So amazing that we get to have this theater here in Santa Barbara. Always showing great movies. Everyone is very kind and the popcorn and goodies they have are always yummy. Highly recommend checking this place out. They always have a director or an actor coming in to speak about their movie. It is a great thing that we get to experience because we get to learn more about the film through the eyes of the director.
