Deeply Saddened that the claimed "Best Psychiatric care facility" treats their patients like Prisoners in times when they need emotional support most. My dear friend voluntarily admitted himself to this facility at a time when he felt there was simply no other choice and the care that has been provided to him has been extremely inhumane. Please save yourself and loved ones by avoiding this facility at all costs.
Direct experiences from my friend: Horrible food supplied / absolute necessities not met (without water for hours) Security guards disrespecting and giving evil stares/ not responding while making direct eye contact Nothing is voluntary, phone is taken away (except for 10mins/day, clothes taken away) Bathroom privileges' denied for HOURS Denied access to go outside for DAYS The...
Read moreClinicians are ok at this site, not as good as San Francisco. But the same issues with Kaiser remains: they do not provide the standard of care. I would say it is even unethical what they do. Clinicians cannot see you weekly, which is recommended when someone is having a crisis or increased distress. They push you out to groups and will make referalls to nonprofit psychotherapy agencies when they think you could benefit from weekly therapy. Ridiculous because that's why you are seeing them in the first place. Kaiser is cheap and they don't want to use their resources unless it's a life/death situation. Kaiser has been sued and should be sued more by clients who are not getting adequatecade, not only with mental health, but also in internal medicine and all other departments. Administration is also...
Read moreIt seems like reviews here are mixed for some outpatient clinic where you schedule appointment and inpatient clinic - a locked facility for psych patients. Same name, same address. My experience is with inpatient care and this 5-stars. The case managers are available, respond promptly, and very helpful. Doctors and staff try their best - even when they had staff shortage due to union strikes. The first rule is safety of the patients, then when visitors are allowed, then safety of the visitors. If they cannot provide safety due to your unscheduled visit, then you wait. Everyone, starting with the reception guards, were trying to be as helpful as they could. Doctors are attentive. Dr. Johnson, the head of the department is great. The facility to...
