This is a nice neighborhood park with a big field of grass to play with your dogs and/or kids. It's encircled by a dirt trail, which is great for walking or jogging. The playground is pretty decent for toddlers and small children. It's equipped with small slides, little climbing obstacles, bikes on springs, and some sand pits. The rest of the park has picnic benches and built-in grills for bbq-ing, which are good for small parties. There is a public restroom, but use it at your own risk... it can be a bit shoddy.
The park does get crowded in the afternoon, with kids getting out of school.
My main issue is that the park is connected to an overpass/bridge that takes you to the apartments across San Tomas Expressway, which is fine, but it attracts homeless people and drug users who leave the overpass littered with trash. Brown water coming out of the drinking fountains. They never clean the sand and dirt in there, clogged drain as always. Sent them an email and got a prompt reply saying the drinking fountains would be fixed in a week. Reality? Nothing was really fixed.
