Fab-freakin-tastic! We aren’t from Santa Clara, but when we we travel, we do a little research to find things for the kids to do. This playground was amazing.
First, the playground is smack dab in the middle of Central Park, with a ton of walking opportunities. A small lake with a fountain, basketball courts, a baseball field and a secondary park for toddlers away from the Magical Bridge Playground.
It is accessible and welcoming for people of all ages and abilities, including those with physical and cognitive disabilities, autism, sensory challenges, and the aging population.
The playground exceeds ADA requirements, which is an impressive task in California. After doing a little research, I wasn’t surprised to see that it’s heralded as one of the nation’s most innovative playgrounds.
It includes a Two-Story Playhouse with a community stage for performances. The Swing Zone has bucket seats for all ages, a disk swing, and an accessible group sway experience. Their Spin Zone has an accessible carousel, climbing net spinner, and disk spinner for multiple positions. Their Slide Zone includes sensory slides with patented Slide and Sit Landings for those needing extra time. Their Innovation Zone includes a 24-string Laser Harp tuned to a soothing pentatonic scale, ideal for those with autism. The Kindness Corner has art by disabled artists. Their Tot Zone is their for smaller kids, ages 2–5.
They also have walking areas with fitness items like pull-up bars, two picnic areas with accessible seating and game tables. They also have three amazing hammocks, three Hideaway Huts if your child is sensory sensitive.

Read moreThis park was recently updated to become a Magical Bridges playground and it does not disappoint! It does get busy but there is quite a bit to do and enjoy! It has a lot of the same inclusive features and areas as other Magical Bridges playgrounds (slides/sledding hill area, spinning area, swinging area, exercise area, playhouse, kindness area, and climbing structures) but also has some nice natural looking tiered seating, hammocks, and a musical arch. There are multiple parking lots on site with plenty of spaces. The only downside is one entrance does not seem completely finished since the gate is built but there is no sidewalk to reach the entrance. Overall a fabulous playground for...
Read moreI have to say it's one of the magic park in the bay area. This very good too. It says no eating and drinking. But a large group of adult eating and drinking not sure with Alcolhol randomly inside. I called the number of management, and a police quickly showed up for checking.Really appreciate the management team and Santa Clara City and police department to maintain. Even though late in the night, it's still a nice and safe...
