Indigo Gallery — Attraction in Santa Fe

I truly wish I could give this gallery a 5-star review because I absolutely adore Jill’s pieces and the first time I visited was amazing but I unfortunately can not say the same now. I have come here previously with my family and fell in love with the gallery. I decided to come back today with my girlfriend. From the moment we walked in the employee was not very welcoming. I brushed it off because we are young, people of color and obviously queer so there are many reasons why people may have judgements but we really just wanted to appreciate the art. My girlfriend took a picture of one of the paintings and the employee told her pictures were not allowed which is completely fine. However my girlfriend apologized and the employee spoke over and said “you should really ask. It’s all on our website.” I checked the website after and I could not find anything that said this. I was also confused about this because I took many many pictures of this gallery the last time I attended. The attendant last time was also very kind in contrast, she was very passionate about the art and spoke to us in detail about the artist. I truly wish the attendant we had this time did the same because I wanted my girlfriend to have the same experience.
