Very clean big doggie zone for lots of exercise for your Mutty Buddy to play in. Water area, rake and pickup pan provided on site. A few benches to sit, relax and veg out. If needed. There is an area for small Mutts, and an equally large area for big Mutts to play all enclosed with an area to sit or toss the ball. Good for friendly dogs. Now, for the not so friendly Mutts like mine beware that some of the upper crusts entitled will feel like their "fur babies" don't have to wear a leash. Than there's problems coming in or going out. They must wear one in and out of the outside inclosure. Than once inside you may "release the cracken". (Movie buff/ property set woman humor). Outside of the two main dog runs, is a big beautiful park. You are free to walk or run with a leash on your Darling little Mutty Buddy. There are swings for the smallies, picnic areas for the Fam, a field to play soccer or whatever. Just a generally all around clean, beautiful lovely park. A little bit away down is the Air Museum. Very nice and a few nice places to eat. Romantic. For those wanting an even bigger park not as romantic is the Clover park on the otherside of the S.M. Airport. ( may walk your mutt on a leash but NO free running for them there (supposedly - some do but you didn't see it here š). Nice place to come and visit even if your just eating P & J sandwiches you made. Very stress free and good to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreVisitors beware. Thereās a poorly trained (bite uninhibited) German/American Shepherd, and skulking owner, that frequents this park.
Our dog was playing with a small group of others when the Shepherd ran in and bit down, tearing a 1-inch-diameter laceration in our dogās side. The owner approached minutes later and rudely discounted our concerns about the injury, leaving with a shallow apology and zero recompense. The wound would not have healed on its own and thus required $900 in emergency care.
While accidents, of course, happen at dog parks, our family believes that no poorly trained or harsh playing pet should ever be allowed inside. Be vigilant and look out...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is a nice, spacious park, with wood chips covering most of the play area. The upper play area is dirt. I have never seen this park empty. Usually there is a good group of friendly dogs here. We have not had any major issues. I recommend bringing water for your dog. There is only one water bowl in the large dog zone, and it can get quite crowded.
Owners occasionally bring male dogs that appear to be intact. I don't have an issue with this, but the presence of intact males can sometimes cause normally friendly neutered males to act aggressively; so owners, just be aware and on the...
