Chipotle Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Los Angeles

For a company that’s receiving a ton of criticism for giving small portions (and I still believe that’s basically true across the company), some employee within this store, dare I call them an angel, truly loaded up my two MOBILE ORDER bowls! Generous portions of rice, beans, corn, salsa, etc. In my lifetime as a customer of Chipotle, mobile orders are typically when you’re shorted, so this is honestly unheard of for me. Take this review with a grain of salt. I can’t guarantee that this outcome is repeatable as it’s definitely employee dependent. But for this one instance, I went home with such an overjoyed feeling that I felt compelled to write a review. That’s saying a lot! Surprisingly poor experience all around for a Chipotle - especially one in such a decent area and a nice-looking building.

Burrito was stingy on the meat, very poorly wrapped, and not mixed at all. The dining area was filthy, and we couldn't even wipe off the table because there were no napkins (or much of anything) available, and when I went to use the bathroom (also to grab a paper towel to wipe the table down), the door was broken to the point where it almost wouldn't close, and it definitely did not lock. The place was not busy in the slightest before we arrived, but nobody bothered cleaning up the tables or restocking the drink/utensils station. Wow this is stupid as hell, lol. I get here at 9PM and it seems like there are people standing in the line area so I ask and they say "oh they're only taking online orders."

Uh, what? Why do I need to make an online order, how is that different than just walking up to the counter and ordering? I was so blown away by this, the workers looked at me like I was crazy when I asked if I could just make an order.

Anyway, I'm already there, so I pull up the app and start to order when I see "15 minute wait time" as if I'm ordering from home and heading over to the restaurant to pick up. Uh dude, it's Chipotle, I'm not gonna sit around for 15 minutes for you to make my burrito and put it in a bag for me.
