Asian Food Market — Attraction in Santa Rosa

They sold expired foods. I went there in July to get Kimchi and their Kimchi was expired in October 2017. And when I told the owner that I want to exchange, she told me to grab a new one. I grabbed the more expansive Kimchi because they only have two kinds the new one I got and the Expired Kimchi; She said I had to pay more and she didn’t allow me to use credit card to pay if it’s under 10. So I had to go around to pick some more stuff to fill up to $10 to only get the UNEXPIRED KIMCHI. Horrible service!! It is not my fault that I bought their expired food and what I get back is PAYING MORE. Rediculous! There is no customer service at all.

They use raw shrimp that is going to expire to cook it then sell it as ‘cooked shrimp’ to get some cash from foods that is going to expire!!! So be careful of those cooked shrimps. Things are pricey there too. I only go there when I really need stuff to buy from them.

She always asked about my private details too like How much money I make at work ? bla bla... !!??? How much my husband make?

Also she gave other lady many bags but she only packed my everything in only 1 bag and the food was upside-down and fell everywhere in the bag. What is going...

I can't believe how rude and disrespectful the cashier is. I come in smiling and was instantly mugged by her when I walked in. She fallowed me around the store and watched my every move like I was going to steal. I was looking at all the different kinds of drinks and taking a while to choose and she shoves her way in front of me just to get her already opened beverage that was in the fridge with all the other drinks. How can people get away with treating others like that? How is she still employed? She's like that every time I go there and I come all the way from Sebastopol just to get my fruit. This is one of my favorite local shops! The owners are a kind couple, and they're always super welcoming to me and my son. They fry fresh fish, cut up huge jackfruits, and stock lots of chinese and other asian vegetables that my family loves. I will admit that some of the of their items are overpriced, but I'd rather support a local business than order a single ingredient online to get ship a million miles and get to me in a month.
