This is such a lovely park. It has a lot of open space, picnic pavillions, and a water view to die for. It actually has 2 water views. On one side, you can watch the boats go by from the marina and wonder where these people get all that money to own and maintain these beautiful boats. The other side overlooks Sarasota Bay and downtown. Both sides are really pretty. There's a pay electric car changer and a little restaurant on the incoming road. Underrated park on Lido Key. To get there head north from Lido to Longboat Key. You will come to a traffic light, turn right onto Ken Thompson Parkway. Go till it dead ends at Sarasota Bay. Has a small playground, clean restroom, picnic tables, and a few grills. Plenty of parking. Nice place to take dogs as there is a large grassy area and some trails.
