At the time of writing this review, I have lived here for over a year and a half. This is my first apartment, but I really like it here. We looked at many apartments in the Middlesex County area and this was our favorite. Pet friendly was a must, the garage is a huge plus! I have absolutely no complaints about this place. The area is quiet, Sayreville is a great little town. The apartment itself is cozy. We are on the second floor and never hear any noises from the neighbors. The only noises we do hear come from the hallway and that's only when it's dead quiet in the apartment and we're near the doorway.. I rarely notice it to be completely honest. The build quality looks very nice, but feels cheap when you get used to it. It's not a big deal, because if anything does break, maintenance is very quick to repair it. In almost two years, we have only had to call maintenance once or twice for minor issues that were fixed within hours. My only real complaint here would be the parking situation. Most apartments have a garage and the ones that don't have designated parking in front of the building. You're only supposed to have one car in the garage and one in a parking spot around the building, yet sometimes it is still hard to find parking close to my building! It's not a huge problem, but I do notice that not everyone follows the parking rules, which can be frustrating. I suppose management has no real way of enforcing the parking rules.. it's a minor inconvenience. The staff and community are very friendly. They have parties every few months and usually have an open bar, which is awesome! Many of the people that live here are in the 20-35 age range, but not exclusively. There's a little area for the dogs to play together, but for some real exercise I take the dog for a walk around the lake. The lake is great if you like to see animals! We've seen all kinds of different wildlife around the lake and in the spring, the ducks and geese have babies. It's awesome! The price is similar to other apartments in the area and it's definitely worth it here. In the winter, the roads and sidewalks are always clear of snow when I leave for work at 4am. There's a gym and a pool and a lounge with a billiards table, and some playgrounds indoor and outdoor for kids.. I could probably write more about this place but I think I've covered enough. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place to a friend, and I have. If you're searching for apartments in this price range in this area, definitely stop by and...

I was a tenant for a little over 5 years. My rent was raised 6% every year with no upgrade to the unit or any of the amenity spaces . The only "upgrade" was flooring to gym and a horrible blue paint . There were splatters of paint of my door handle for context .
I was in building 3 . During my move out mold was found in my storage space, caused from a defect the complex is unwilling to take responsibility for. After sharing pictures and requesting it be remediated for the next tenant at minimum , the mold was denied. Moisture was clearly present . Boxes that were not on the ground clearly had moisture. The smell of mold was loud and undeniable.
I had suspected mold at other times and requested professional testing but was denied after the maintenance did a visual check and said it was just discoloration. The response from management was no surprise. I attempted to handle it with insurance . Management said insurance would reach out to me . After an entire month , I had to follow up , to be told nothing was ever submitted to insurance and because of lease terms they were not responsible .
The disregard of follow up , time frame etc., displayed by management is beyond negligent . I requested the move out walk through and was told everything is fine . Again , I had to FOLLOW up to get a final bill . I was hit with unreasonable charges. Charges for things that it didn't even cost to get the items in the first place . I had lost keys many of times and what I was charged while living there compared to moving out was a huge difference .
$150 for a parking pass . I returned the pass and of course they did not receive it .
I am deeply disturbed on how every issue come to the end of my term here . I attempted every option I could for at minimum to heave the mold confirmed by testing with a professional company and was denied every time. Its unethical and negligent.
I have lost thousands of dollars dealing with this issue . I could go on and on about all of the other issues. It is not worth calling this place a home for many of reasons . But ignoring a health concern should...
Read moreSomething they won’t tell you-You will get NO privacy or peace here, there is no sound proofing. It will have an effect on your quality of life unless you’re deaf. It can even physically shake your belongings. I hear everything my neighbors do against my will. They disturb and prevent our families sleep, disrupt our days, and make our guests feel uncomfortable when they visit. Every step sounds like they may come through the floor. I hear every moan and more when they’re intimate. I know what shows they watch because the intros and dialogue are that clear even when they aren’t being obnoxious volume wise. You can hear them urinating in their toilet. You’ll hear them if they snore. You can hear them using a blender or other kitchen tools. You can hear their conversations. This is all heard with white noise and music/tv on in your apartment. I’m not exaggerating when I say you can hear EVERYTHING. I’ve lived in apartments the majority of my life and have never experienced something like this. Kaplans solution? Sue your neighbor or call the cops. You also can’t cook without setting off smoke alarms, which you’ll hear going off regularly throughout the complex. Always have fans running and windows open when cooking. The place was poorly constructed, the floors aren’t level in spots. Fixtures installed crooked. The windows and patio doors have significant drafts. The tiles, due to the uneven floors, are cracked. Their solution is to replace with linoleum. The “wood” floors are cheap, very thin, not actual wood flooring. The parking is terrible. All that could be forgivable if we had a shred of privacy or peace...
