Had an interaction with a lifeguard here where I had gone down the Bowl slide and came out and had asked the life guard can I stand in the stair area for my 9 year old brother and she told me no that I should let him go on the slide if he can’t swim. Very condescending and rude tone she said it in as well, I took offense to the fact that now she was insulting an action that I thought was a cool experience to share with my brother. What I was asking for took no action from her at all just her stand there like usual and just let me be close to my brother when he comes down from the slide so he feels safe swimming. Granted the fact that I’ve had three other lifeguards allows me to do this. And then another lifeguard had mention to me that no pool toys are allowed in the main pool but in the kids area only? I mean I could understand being safe from something being thrown and hitting and baby or a toddler or child but not only is it banned in the main area it’s allowed in the children area where the people who could get hurt are It’s puzzling because what is that rule for then? It must not be to protect anyone, this is a water park, not just a...
Read moreI recently visited Acher Island Water Park with my wife and our 2.5-year-old son, and we had a wonderful time. The park is beautiful, well-maintained, and perfect for families with young children. The water is clean, and despite the park’s smaller size, it has everything you need to have a great day with the kids.
However, there’s one safety concern I’d like to highlight. In the children’s area with slides and water features, there’s a section that appears to have been repainted. This area is very slippery. My son slipped multiple times and had a hard fall. I also slipped once despite my efforts to watch over him. It’s challenging for young children to be cautious in such situations, given their age and excitement.
Overall, Acher Island is a fantastic place, but I strongly recommend the management to address the slippery surface in the children’s area to...
Read moreWe had a great experience here visiting for the day. The park was very clean, well kept, and well supervised. I appreciated the different areas designed for the various age levels, with two water slides for the older kids, a zero-depth pool, and two smaller shallow areas for younger kids. I also liked how I could stand in the middle of the park and see every point at once, which made it easy to keep track of our kids. The park is just big enough to have fun but not too big to be overwhelming. They don't allow outside food or coolers so budget to buy food at their concession stand. Definitely...
