Chaparral Park — Attraction in Scottsdale

Very happy that they renovated this playground. Now, they have more equipment there that is suited for older kids too. The new design is also very aesthetically pleasing. They have a butterfly wings ladder leading up to a slide area along with several colorful slides. I also like their rotating thing; it's this pole in the middle with 3 seats attached by ropes and then you run, and you spin out- super fun! Oh, and lastly, as a plus, the water fountains here are actually clean for a change (unlike other parks where the fountains are a bit rusty or grimy). Medium sized city park. Cormorant now are as numerous as visitors. At night flocks of them return to the small island to the ground or you can view them in trees. Since there is McCormick Ranch maybe the lake might be renamed Cormorant Ranch lake. The playground is located fairly close the three volleyball locations at the park. One grass, two sand.
