Magnuson Park Boat Launch — Attraction in Seattle

Nice launch with lots of room. Most people that were there didn't know how to launch our take out and the person managing the dock on behalf of Seattle parks and rec was incredibly obnoxious and condescending. He was "educating" or scolding every last boater thinking he was doing them some grand service.

Outer dock was super choppy - I don't recommend tying up there.

All in all, if it weren't for the dock weirdo it...

Nice lake access. Slope of the ramp is a little off but not a big concern. May have to back in to the water further than you would normally.

Large trailer lots, Parking can fill up on busy days. Can be slow at times due to others not following the flow of the launch.

Protect yourself from theft have seen car widows broken in broad daylight...

Nice place and I enjoy the lake. However, the launch does not have a steep enough incline to launch a boat from a family SUV (without submerging your car tail-pipe in the water). However, if you have a truck with lots of clearance then you are fine. I have to push my boat off the trailer often and come back home with...
