Key: Huge, spacious off-leash park with awesome amenities and free plastic bags for scooping up your dog's waste!
Parking: There is a large on-site, outdoor parking lot that requires you to walk 5 minutes to the off-leash area. It's very convenient and easy to find so no problem there. It seems like they changed available parking since COVID to avoid cars and people crowding in front of the off-leash area.
Amenities: There are trash cans available within the off-leash area along with free plastic bags to scoop your dog's waste so you don't have to worry about carrying trash bags or waste until you leave the area. There is a water/beach area at the end of the trail so you can bring your dog(s) there to have some fun or just merely expose them to water. There is a rinsing station at the entrance of the off-leash area as well if you chose to spend some time in the water with your dog. Or you can just rinse your dog before heading back to your car too if they get dirty/dusty/muddy! They even have a "small or shy" dog area where you can bring your babies to meet other smaller or shy dogs before running around in the bigger area. We did that with ours and that's how he slowly opened up and became more socialable to other doggies!
Overall: I go there almost everyday now so that my dog can have loads of fun, run around the area, and meet other dogs. Highly...
Read moreAwesome dog park! Lots of unique breed meet-ups, a large swimming area, and dog fights are rare. Unfortunately, it has become much less safe. The dog nail tech Sami was even attacked in the middle of her shift. Sketchy dealings with the port-a-potties being set on fire and The Barkery being robbed so many times they had to leave, I won't go there without pepper spray. One of the main reasons we loved it so much is now gone, too. Sami, who worked at the dog nail van at the entrance to the park, quit. I found out the owners were keeping the groomers' tips and were being very rude to their employees. I talked to Sami on her last day around 11:30 and she informed me her bosses hadn't refilled the propane for her heater and weren't going to. It was raining and cold and they told her she could either work in the cold or go buy the propane herself so she quit. The park stopped them from being allowed to use generators so she was surrounded by heaters that wouldn't work. We will still go to this amazing park but between The Barkery leaving and Sami leaving, it is definitely not what...
Read moreMy wife and I have been frequenting this park for a little over three years now. We've had several friends that have had their animals get very sick from drinking from the shared water dishes at this park. Also you have to be careful about the time of day that you visit because a lot of "dog walkers" take huge packs of dogs there that don't belong to them and just let them run off leash and don't pay attention to them. So with that said, a lot of dogs often just run wild with no supervision. We rarely take our puppy here anymore. It's a beautiful park and if there were some kind of rules in place to keep "professional dog walkers" in line I would give 5 stars. But the dog walkers are either looking at their phones or chatting with one another and not paying attention to the animals that they are supposed to be looking after. The animals get aggressive and have no manners. My animal has been attacked before by the unsupervised creatures. And when I've approached the keepers I've been confronted with aggression and dismissive action. Be cautious...
