This is the only dog park in the city of Seattle woth water access so that alone gets 5 stars. It is also completely wheelchair and stroller accessible. Right when you come in there is a HUGE gravel/dust area for dogs to play in plus porta potties, a coffee truck, a covered pavillion, water, dog bags, and an enclosed small dog play area. There are two bridges you can cross to exit the main field. The one to the right leads to another open area with some stumps to practice jumping onto and the one to the left leads down a long straight path. This path brings you to down trees and large rocks for climbing onto. Continue on to the next long gravel path and this will take you to the water entry which is usually absolutely packed. Because of the sheer density of this area you really have to keep an eye on your dog because it is easy for people to loose sight of theirs sometimes turning problem behavior into fights. Overall one of my favorite parks. Pro tip: if you get hungry, there is a great taco stand inside the sand point tennis center. Go in the building on the left then take the stairs up and walk to the back. It doesnt feel like it will be...

We LOVE Magnuson park! Tons of open space, play fields, and playgrounds, with ample parking peppered throughout the park.

For the dog park, specifically: It's great for a large space to let your pup roam free while still getting you a decent walk as well (takes us ~30mins to do a full lap around the park). If there are any "puppy disagreements" or untrained dogs you want to avoid, all you have to do is walk to a different area. It's one of the few parks where the dogs can truly run in a wide open space to their hearts content (multiple pockets of spaces, actually, including long straightaways). If your pup is a swimmer, there is lake access at the end to boot! It features a TON of poop bag and trash stations and is 90% pea gravel, with the remaining 10% being grass. There's also a smaller, fenced in area for smaller dogs to avoid bigger dogs with "prey drive concerns." There are also 3-4 different entrance corrals, so that you don't get bottlenecks of people trying to get in and out. *Note: During "busy" times, there isn't enough parking, so you'll have to park down the "street" and walk 10mins just to get back to the dog...

First time to the park today for my dog's first birthday! Everything seemed well maintained & the off-leash play park, walkways, & beach access were all great. I like how the beach access has an additional entry/exit gate. There was plenty of water available to drink as well as to spray off muddy paws or feet in the play area (it is mostly sandy/gravelly? with some grass/small rocks. The wooden benches near the water would normally seem like good places to sit but the smell of dog urine was strong (I guess you can't keep them from marking?). I did notice many people walking ahead/behind their digs and not noticing/not caring when the dog went #2 (I would have missed mine too since he ran ahead playing with another dog, but my conscientious sons made sure to tell me and point to the spot!) At the beach, there is a giant fallen tree lying sideways in the water that entertained my boys for at least half an hour, sitting & climbing on it. I'm not sure if it always there but we loved it. There are also a few picnic tables to sit on and a couple of benches, which is great because the ground is mostly...
