It's a nice recreation spot. There is a park, a baseball field, tennis courts, a well kept playground for the kids, and some open field space. People played with their dogs and flew drones and remote-controlled airplanes in the open space when I was last there. You can also follow the brook to a nice pond across the street. It's a great spot for family and fitness. However, some cons are that the tennis courts can get crowded (it looks like you have to reserve them or go early during a weekday) and very wet, the baseball field isn't fully fenced so playing a real game seems unlikely (better more for gentle practice), the pond could use some maintenance, and sometimes people speed through the parking lot. Not to mention you have the fields right next to you for some games of frisbee or soccer. It is right next to a high school. Lots of cool stuff for kiddos like ducks, a river, a play feild, sports areas, and some stairs and small ramps for skating if you are new to the sport. Lots of wildlife and there's even a community garden. People are friendly and diverse. Many ages, races, dogs, and families come here.
