Santorini is the closest restaurant to my home. I love pizza and Italian food, which is what they make. I keep hoping that the food that I pick up from time-to-time would be a lot better than it is, but sadly it is not. Pizza, which I have loved my entire life, is not what I prefer. The dough is very thick and I feel that I am eating mostly dough rather than a nice mix of all the ingredients. I have ordered penne with meat sauce, the same covered with mozzarella and their tiramisu for dessert once. The pasta was very watery and lacking a healthy serving a sauce. When it was cooked with mozzarella, it was cooked too long and the cheese hardened on top. However, they provide a lovely and generous salad and a large piece of garlic bread with each order. The helpings are generous. Regarding the tiramisu, it came in verily large plastic container all mushed down with some ice particles in it. It seems that it may have been frozen and not quite fully defrosted. Instead of the beautiful layers, it was just a container of mush. I ate half and threw the rest away.
I will go back to Santorini again and try their lasagna and maybe just a salad. The proximity is so appealing, I wish the food...
Read moreWalking into this restaurant for the first time, we noticed it was full and felt very cozy- lots of families and enjoyment, without being too loud. We were warmly greeted by Ella, who owns the restaurant with her husband, and made to feel at home in a way that felt like being transported out of Seattle (which tends to be quite impersonal). The owners and wait staff know their customers, who are clearly regulars. We got the Odyssey pizza and hylopetes Greek pasta, both which were excellent! I loved the abundance of broccoli in the pasta and that the pesto wasn't heavy or overpowering. The wine was fabulous, and I was kindly offered if I wanted to try some first when I asked questions - which I appreciated very much because I am picky about wine and rarely get this option anymore when dining out. We were checked in on frequently and had such a wonderful experience at this...
Read moreCalled in a take out order, 12 inch pies, one Veggie and one make your own that kid would eat, also a Greek salad. Efficient and friendly. He said "see you in 20 minutes" and the estimate was exactly right.
Walked in, locals joking with staff. Good vibes, real classic neighborhood spot. Clean.
Fantastic crust. I loved their generous Veggie toppings and sometimes prefer the savory tomato sauce that's been mentioned in these reviews, worked well here. Greek salad good. Nice Greek dressing and appreciated their garlic dip and garlic bread. About 60 bucks for the two pies and salad, pretty reasonable for this area.
Nothing mind blowing or game changing, just straight up good food and service. I've been trying a few different places in North Seattle, this one, I...
