got lost looking for Keyhole Cave, but had a great time hiking with my son. We went about 4.5 miles and climbed up the wash towards what I thought was the cave, but it was a different and smaller cave (sort of). Make sure to bring plenty of water, good hiking shoes or boots and sunscreen as the northern Arizona sun is relentless. Sugarloaf, Tea Cup and another trail I can’t recall all intersected each other you can easily get crossed up and lost. The colors on the desert and the plants and flowers are so vibrant. Finding Keyhole Cave should not have been difficult, but we managed to avoid it this time and we’ll be back to...

Great hike for the family. Parking is limited but I think you can park in surrounding street area. No bathrooms available before the hike. Sugar Loaf loop is fairly easy and it does fork into two separate trails to tea cup or thunder mountain. Some shaded parts but mostly not, so bring plenty of water if you decide to hike more than the loop. Hiked with our toddler and it was doable. We even went into teacup trail and it had gorgeous views!! First hike in Sedona and it is great for beginners & those with kids. We also saw a few mountain bikers so this must be a good trail for that too. Can’t wait to go back and take...

I wouldn’t say it’s easy, especially if you’re out of shape, as there’s quite a bit of incline. For me, going down is more difficult because the knees don’t like the decline. Only a couple of points of shade, and mostly at the beginning.

The views definitely are worth getting to the summit, so take short breaks and get to the top for that 360...
