Starcke Park Golf Course — Attraction in Seguin

Have played here several times, probably close to a dozen. Course is in good condition and its a nice public golf course for the money. However, today I experienced something totally unacceptable. We were on the 18th hole and the golf cart tender came and took our carts in the middle of the last hole. Never in my 25 years of playing golf have I had this happen. Apparently, the rules require the carts back in the shed at 7:30pm. My 3-some were on the 18th hole at 7:20 and waiting for the group in front of us to clear. Our tee time was 3:40, well within an average round of golf. We were kicked off at 7:25pm on the middle of the 18th hole. Mind you there was still a good 30-45 mins of day light. Also saw a Golf Marshall making rounds, first time seeing one on this course. The first rule of a Marshall is to make sure play is moving along. However, there was several groups in front of us that were holding up play! Don't think we will be back after this poor...

Love this place, try to play here. At least twice a month, my club selection was awful today. Still managed a 91, Bruce Allen and his team. From the running of the clubhouse. To the maintenance of the golf course. Does a fantastic job. The rates are awesome and the greens. Despite our freaking hot weather. Compared to other courses in the area. Holds up very nicely, This place is Seguin's best kept secret. Come on over and dive , into a place of true blue golf . You will not be...

Good course for the price. Carts have very accurate GPS showing spot on distances. Staff is friendly and the greens roll pretty true. Most days, I can get through a round in 3 to 3.5 hours (except Friday-sunday when they allow 5somes). Overall, a great links style course that I visit at least once a month.

On second thought... it's horrible. Don't go out there (gotta keep my rounds under 3.5 hrs, and if all yall start showing up, it'll be stacked up like...
