TLDR: Somebody’s gotta turn the lights off! Also, come at least 20 minutes early to get concessions because the lines might be long.
We went to see Wicked today and were all really excited about it. Unfortunately the movie started and nobody turned the lights off. My husband stepped out to find an employee, but the only maybe three employees in the building seemed to all be behind the concessions counter and the line was about 10 minutes, so he came back. I tried to call them thinking maybe that way I could quickly ask in the hallway for the lights to be turned off, but just got a long auto-spiel and when I hit 0 it just started the spiel over. At the end of the spiel they gave another number to call, so I called that, but it just rang and rang without even a voicemail to leave a message. So I went out and waited in the concessions line so my kids wouldn’t have to watch the whole movie with the lights on. The lady said they’d take care of it. About five minutes later, lights were still on, so I went back out and flagged down an employee instead of waiting in line again. Went back to my seat and the lights finally went off a couple minutes later, close to 30 minutes into the movie.
I know a lot of places are struggling with being understaffed and it really seemed like the ladies behind the counter were doing their best to keep up on a busy day. However, there are certain tasks that have to get done. Turning off bright overhead lights is one of those things.
Suggestions: If you want to make everything automated/self-serve, cool. Maybe automate the lights turning off too. Or just turn them off after cleaning and leave them off. Definitely figure out an easier way for customers to let you know when the lights are still on after the movie has started. I had to miss at least 10 minutes of the movie just to get the lights turned off. It may not seem like a big deal to most people, but we don’t go to the movies very often and I really wanted to see the beginning...

When coworkers at the popcorn bar see teenagers alone without their parents they do not try to helping teenager’s on deals they can get on popcorn and soda as a group!! I walked inside the movie theater one night and seen a group of teenagers trying to order something before they movie start, but they was looking very confused on how to order from the menu and was about to spend a bunch of money on one box of popcorn! The manager on nights was working cashier and she was literally just standing there looking at them kids with a tired face not saying anything to help them! The teenagers ended up walking away from the popcorn bar and when they did, I overheard them say they didn’t have enough money so I told them to come back to the bar! And when I did the manager at the cashier was looking really surprised that I seen the whole thing!! I ended up asking the her what kind of deals do they got and when the manager told me what kind of deals they got I told her to get each one of them that deal and I’ll pay for all of them even though they actually had enough money just not enough help from the cashier which was the manager! The reason the manager did that is because she wanted to clean things and get everything closed down early since it was the last movie, but my thing is technically you can’t do that until the full movie is actually over with because people paid their money and may want to come back for refills!! You have one lady wiping down the drink machine the other one trying to dump popcorn etc! I don’t know this manager exact name, but I do know this happened at night! This manager was a caucasian lady, a little heavy set, wear glasses, has black hair that’s always in a ponytail💯 She needs to do a better job at customer service especially if she’s...
Read moreStarting November of last year, we have been going to the movies quite a bit and we really enjoy it, Granted the price of movies have gone up and it is quite expensive nowadays, but it is Great for a Date or for a Special Occasion (Example: Birthday, Holidays, etc.)...
Love the nice big reclining seats, with table... But do not love the few broken seats or the recliners that doesn't recline. (No power to the seat.)
Keep in mind that the seats are assigned seats so if you end up with a broken seat you have to go to the counter and let them know, so they can move you.
Also keep in mind that if you buy your tickets online it is a $1.25 more per ticket. There is an online fee, so that means that each ticket will be a $1.25 cheaper if you purchase it at the movie theater.
Also, there was one time where I purchased my tickets online I knew exactly what seats I was going to be assigned to and someone had came in and tried saying that that was their seats when I know for a fact it wasn't and I told them "No, they were mine. I had reserved those online, and I chose those seats." The woman that was telling me that muttered something I don't know what she said but she moved to a different seat. (I have only had that happened one time though. Usually, I have no problem!)
There are many times where I go to the movies and there's not many people there which I like!
**The four instead of five stars it's due to the broken seats that I have ran into and the seats that wouldn't recline, seems as if the power bank wouldn't be working, or something..
I really do like going to the movies I used to like doing it as a teenager and now that my daughter is a teenager, I like going to the movies...
