Twig's Museum and Gift Shop is an absolute must see attraction in Shawano for anyone who likes Sun Drop. If you totally love Sun Drop in bottles like I do, shame on you if you haven't been there yet. It's nirvana for Sun Drop aficionados for sure, but it's also an historic museum that's tons of fun. Plus, they give out free samples at the end of your self guided tour. Free popcorn is usually available as well. The collection of vintage Sun Drop signs is unrivaled. They have signs enough for at least two episodes of American Pickers. There's also, vintage displays of soda making equipment, pop machines, an old timey street scape, an old dually pick up, Sun Drop signs, and soda memorabilia galore. Did I mention the signs? A giant mural was also recently painted outside. Signs, signs everywhere there's signs... They even sell some smaller reproduction signs in the gift shop along with clothing and many other gifts. You can purchase non-returnable bottles of Sun Drop bottled on premises, of course. The museum has viewing areas where the soda production and bottling still occurs on a daily basis. They bottle many flavors of Twig's artisan soda as well as contract bottling for outside brands. Remember the free samples, so you can try before you buy. Bring guests from out of town if you live nearby, or bring yourself if you don't. You can stay a while and watch the video story about Twig's in the mini theater or breeze right through and get your soda fix right away. Sun Drop does not skimp on caffeine, so when they used to advertise, "Refreshing as a cup of coffee," they weren't kidding. The bottled Sun Drop uses real sugar and still has orange juice in the mix as evidenced by the orange pulp which is visible through the lovely green glass. That orange is the, drop of the sun, in Sun Drop after all. You can't get sun in a can, but you sure can bottle it. And boy, do they ever... Drop by...
