My brother, his girlfriend, and I went into Color Me Mine tonight at 6:45 pm, 2 hours and 15 minutes before their 9 o’clock closing, and had a horrible experience. We were super excited and celebrating a big moment, but the minute we walked in, an employee with dark hair and glasses audibly sighed and appeared dejected. He goes, “Please tell me yall are here for pick up,” (insinuating that he did not want us to paint anything) multiple times and we all just looked at each other. We laughed and shrugged it off as we explained we wanted to paint some pottery. His body language was horrible and we felt so unwelcome. We browsed the pottery selection for a few minutes, but all of our excitement was gone. Genuinely, we felt so uncomfortable that we believed our best option was to leave. I wish I could say that was the end of the story but as we left the store and got in the car, we turned around and saw him, through the glass, pumping his fists and celebrating us leaving. Like hello? This instance sounds so insane that you would think it was made up, but if I had security camera footage, I would share it!! Don’t go here unless you want to deal with unwelcoming, moody, and rude staff to ruin your day. I wish I could contact...
Read moreThis was our first time visiting color me mine and I was not a fan of the the customer service and quality of our finished product. We usually go to Potteryland, but wanted to try somewhere new. At Potteryland we choose our pieces and then get our own paint. Here we assumed things would be the same, because we were not told different nor was there signs. When we got up to the paint we were passive aggressively told that we choose our colors at our tables and the staff will get the paint for you. This is super inconvenient for customers when your staff is sitting around talking, making us have to go interrupt their conversations to ask for more paint. When we were finished painting we took our products to the front and were again passive aggressively told to leave our products at our tables. If the staff had specific procedures we needed to follow they should have been told to us when we first got there, or have signs somewhere with the rules. We paid $60 for 2 people to paint 2 small pieces. Only for us to pick up our pieces today and the glaze to be sloppily placed. You can see where the glaze dripped on BOTH pieces and it looks awful. Definitely unfortunate experience and most likely will not...
Read moreThis place is awesome. You go in and pick out a piece of Premade pottery. There are all kinds of different shapes and sizes of things. They have jars, dragons, elephants, plates, all kinds of different animals and things. They give you a color palette and you choose 8 colors and you paint your piece. Then when you leave they glaze it and fire it. It takes about 2 weeks, then they call you to go pick it up....
