Ok, so we came here few days ago. My kids were very excited (they love ramen) when we found out they open a new location here in the area. Ramen noodles are good dont get me wrong.. so we ordered combo B which is the Sapporo miso ramen and Tonkotsu Shouyu Ramen with chicken karaage, drinks and desserts. I have the shouyu ramen and my husband ordered sapporo miso ramen no spice. When our order came they gave us 2 shouyu ramen and we told them we ordered 1 shouyu and 1 miso. And they said its just the same broth, because my husband ordered miso ramen no spice it will come out the same exact soup.. so theyre saying if you ordered miso ramen no spice the broth will be the same as shouyu tonkotsu. Im like no theyre not the same.. shouyu is pork broth and miso ramen is made from soybean. They took the food and came back telling us theyre just the same pork broth! We were like in shock esp my husband who used to live in japan for years and knows exactly what he is talking about. We even asked other staff and maybe the other staff was just no idea about the broth and theyre both saying the same thing, which we are thinking thats how probably they were trained. Weve been to a lot of ramen place but this is the only ramen place that got us scammed. Im sorry for the word but its true. Their staff dont have knowledge about the food, and they should have training for that. They couldnt explain it to us and they were just saying that theyre new which is make sense bcus its a new location and they just open but they should learn the food they were selling. We were shock and completely look like dumb infront of them saying its just “The Same” like really?!?! I got upset and didnt enjoy my food at all! We are very dissapointed esp my husband said hes not coming back. This was a bad experience for us. Place is nice and instagrammable, but im sorry they cant fool us. Maybe you can to other people who enjoy eating ramen but you cant fool us. What you did was a False Advertisement. Get your...
Read moreI was excited that a Kyuramen had opened in the Woodlands area and a week in advance I called b/c my wife is an Asian and Ramen food fan and I wanted to take her there for her birthday. It was supposed to be a special evening as two of my kids were visiting from out of town that week. When I called I was told that they could not make a reservation for me b/c it's 5 people which is less than their 6 people minimum, but can put me on the "waitlist" but it should be no problem once we arrive. We showed up before the waitlist time (which I have a text for) and when we arrived we were immediately treated rudely by the host at the front. She denied that I could be on any waitlist so I decided to show her my text message to which she refused to look at it. She then told my family of five to move away from the area and said, we have to be put on a waitlist again. She kept ignoring us and we realized she had not put us on another waitlist b/c others were signing into a tablet she didn't tell us about. Regardless, I do not know what the host's issue with us was and I'm shocked that someone at a restaurant chain in a suburb can have such attitude. I've dined many more fascinating places and am still taken back by how rude a simple hostess can be and how disorganized a place is managed. Luckily, there are many good places to eat at in...
Read moreI have been to other Ramen bars, but this one turned out to be my favorite. I was getting a bit tired of ramen bars, and I was forced to go there by a family member. Now I'm looking forward to going back.
I ordered the Yinyang bowl. I ordered it spicy. It was packing so much flavor. I've never had ramen that was so flavorful. To drink, I had the Aloe Grapefruit tea. It was pretty tasty. They could have used less bitter grapefruit, but it was delicious. Real grapefruit with pieces of sweet aloe. I also had a taste of the Amazing Lemonade. Let me tell you, it really was AMAZING! Best lemonade I've ever had anywhere. It was super fresh, made with real lemons.
When I go to other establishments, it really irks me that the waiter/waitress will interrupt you while you're having a conversation, to ask if you need anything. I get it. They are doing their job. What I really like about this place is that they don't come to you every 5 minutes. You ring the bell at your table when you need something, and they come IMMEDIATELY! I've seen this done at other Japanese establishments, and I love it.
I love their setup, a honeycomb wall with the booths in it.
The restaurant is very clean and the staff is great.
We drove an hour and a half from home to visit and we will...
