4 rooms for a two night stay and when my family went to eat breakfast there were no eggs ready at 7am on the Wednesday morning of our stay. My family was on a tight schedule due to surgery and some my family had to go eat breakfast somewhere else due to no eggs being ready at the hotel. The person in charge of the breakfast should have atleast communicated with the people wanting eggs or some sort of sign or something stating how long the wait for eggs would be. There wasn’t even a lot of people eating breakfast, so must have just not made enough eggs or just didn’t have any ready at 7am, which is unacceptable. No exhaust fans in the bathrooms was also a negative. Unable to lower the volume on the TV due to neither remote working to lower the volume, they would only raise the volume. No towel rack in the bathroom - there were markings on the wall for the towel rack but it wasn’t installed. Room probably shouldn’t be available. Couch cushion was ripped. When I checked out, I noticed one room had been charged for an extra night for an unknown reason and without any explanation on why it was charged extra and it couldn’t be resolved until the next day. I had to call the day and did get a refund for the “extra” charge but what if I didn’t catch that? I’m pretty sure they would’ve charged me and not said a word.

We were woken up multiple times by chirping smoke detector. At 3am, staff told us there could bring a battery or have maintenance do it in the morning. Obviously, waiting was not an option. I was bright a battery and a screw driver. Staff said, “sorry, I’m too short to change it.” No step stool, no ladder, no directions. We had to stand on a rolling swivel chair to change it, after having to google directions. None of that was as bad as what we found when we opened it. The battery was still the original and dated 2022. Seeing that failed regular maintenance caused this, I brought this to the attention of Dana, the director of operations, and was asked “what are you asking?!?” She went on to tell me that she couldn’t do more than $25 off for “something as small as this”.

UPDATE: This location has taken the time to actively engage in addressing customer concerns. I was able to speak with the manger directly who not only took responsibility for some of the shortcomings during my stay but also talked me through some of the corrective actions implemented to address my concerns directly. I really appreciate this as a consumer and Hilton loyalist. I will absolutely give this location another try and I hope to see Andy's face again! For those considering this location keep this in mind when booking- a location that truly cares enough to address your concerns as customer- that's the place you want to stay with your family/ when traveling for business! Thanks Lucas and the Shenandoah Team. This “new” location is awful! I checked in through app two days in advance, chose my room and upon arrival was told that one was not available- Then sent to another room that had not been cleaned- filthy- then sent to another room where none of the lights, outlets, switches worked and was also filthy! Wet, oily substance running down the bathroom door, hair inside shower, sticky substance in both bed side tables. The apathy from the front desk guy “ Andy” was what drove me over the top. I will NEVER stay here again and will tell anyone who will listen to never do the same. There are lots of options in this area that I'm sure can meet the need. The location is inconvenient also. NOTE: please notice that they only reply to good reviews- that is an...

I originally had this booked as several nights, but I checked out early. This was one of the few hotels in the Houston area that didn’t have reviews about bugs, so that’s why I chose it. They are bug free as far as I saw.

The pros: they have a little foot stand in the shower for women to shave your legs. Lots of bars inside the shower to hang things on. Most hotels leave those details out. Plenty of counter space. Nice hotel staff.

The cons: The reason for checking out early was the bed. I’ve slept on soft beds, and I’ve slept on firm beds, but this bed caused my entire body pain, like where it hurt to move or lay down. I slept on the hardwood floor of my house waiting on furniture to be delivered, and I woke up fine. This bed…it just did something to me. Without a doubt, the worst thing I’ve ever slept on in my entire life. My nerve endings feel like they are on fire.

The air conditioning kind of works, but the air is always sticky. I get that I’m in Texas, but writing this from my new air conditioned hotel room where my skin is dry, that’s just a hotel problem. It feels like being in one of those cheap oceanfront hotels where it’s kind of cool, but not really, and you’re always a little bit damp.

Every thing I took out of my suitcase got a mildewy smell (which is currently being washed at new hotel). Probably due to the aforementioned sticky air.

Summary: Could be good if they upped the air conditioner in the room and changed out the mattresses. Would never recommend staying...
