I was very excited to visit D4 Season, especially considering how difficult it is to get an appt on their calendar, , but my multi-hour appointment left a lot to be desired. For context, I am no stranger to head spa treatments. I’ve had many at different places over the years. I had booked a 60 min Gua Sha facial and 90 minute head spa treatment. The lady that did my treatment was 15 minutes late, and she ended the service after 50 minutes which was very disappointing. She didn’t use an actual Gua Sha tool, but another device that didn’t have the same effect. I couldn’t care less about this, I was more irritated to get shorted 10 minutes.
My head spa treatment was okay, but the service was composed of mainly oiling the hair and scalp, scrubbing and a double shampoo. Other places go through a lot of other steps. After 65 minutes, I was taken to blow dry. Whereas other spas don’t include the blow dry time in your appt, it felt like a slight rip-off to me, and my therapist was lacking pressure and technique.
Also, their spa doesn’t feel private. The head spa rooms are separated by a curtain, so you can hear other people’s water running when yours is not. During my facial I could hear the phone ring, people check in at the front desk, ask questions, etc. And I was cold during my head spa treatment. I asked for a blanket and all I was given was a small towel. Really?
I cancelled all my future appts and I will not be coming back here. There are other places in Seattle that do a much better job and a much better value when it comes to head...
Read moreI’ve gotten the headspa treatment twice & although it never blew my socks off, the second time was so much worse. The first time was before the TikTok craze. I had a decent enough time that I tried to book a few months later & it was booked out for months. I came back like a year later and they had some immediate openings.
The setup for the headspa area is sectioned off by curtains and you can see the guests. That isn’t ideal but that was never a dealbreaker for me. Sometimes the staff talks but not much. As long as it’s not full conversations the whole time, that doesn’t bother me.
The real disappointment is how little care they actually do for your hair. They spent half the session combing and brushing wet hair. Roughly. Anyone who knows basic hair care knows that’s a big no no. They do very little massage. It’s a lot of pulling, brushing, putting like 6 different products in your hair & washing them out. It’s almost painful at some times, and never relaxing.
This place could be so great if their staff just slowed waaaay down. Spent a majority of the time giving a head massage with less products. One of the best things you can do for hair is stimulate blood flow to the scalp. They should focus way more on that and make it a feel good, relaxing experience. Absolutely no wet hair brushing.
I love the idea of a headspa but their execution needs major...

Booking the treatment ahead of time is a must, as they operate by appointment only, but it's well worth the planning. Surprisingly reasonable pricing offers fantastic value for the exceptional quality of the head spa.
