Per credit card statements my average order is around $30 and I have placed 65 orders from this location in the last 12 months. I'm mentioning this to provide context for why this location gets a 1 star rating.
Apart from being out of ingredients repeatedly, the digital order experience is astonishingly bad. For example, yesterday I ordered a burrito using the digital ordering system. Went to pick it up from the digital pickup window. 3 of the 4 staff members working looked directly at me, then ignored me at the closed window that they'd just walked away from. Waited 8 minutes for someone before driving forward and pulling into a parking spot instead. Walked in to find the staff mucking around behind the counter, showed them my order number and they picked up my order straight away, which had been sitting on the shelf ready to go - behind the counter though, not on the shelf for to-go orders where customers could easily just get it themselves. Got home and the rice was undercooked, the meat was cold and definitely not within the FDA safe handling temperature range, despite being put in a hotbag for the very short trip back home. Also burritos here are consistently much, much oilier than from every other Chipotle location.
The average digital order I've placed requires waiting longer than it takes me to go to my local supermarket, buying all the ingredients, going home, heating up a cast iron skillet, preparing the ingredients and making the burrito myself, for half of the cost. If not for my girlfriend specifically wanting "this burrito" I would never optionally choose to order this.
It's worth noting that people usually assume I'm a delivery driver, probably because of what I wear and bring with me (I have a heated bag, etc.). So when the staff and subsequently management at this location allow people to be treated like this, they're f**king with other people's livelihood.
I've had a much better experience overall at every other Chipotle; the Lake City one, the Northgate one, even the UW one. This one is just terrible service and unfortunately is the closest one to me.
Improvements would be: Fire or retrain the staff If the digital delivery order window is closed, install and/or pull down blinds (if they're fitted already) so it's clear that no service will be offered through there. Otherwise maintain a reasonable timeframe with greeting and/or otherwise acknowledging customers. Regularly use secret shoppers to...
Read moreI haven’t had chipotle in over a year and was really craving it. I had my husband pick up up some after work and I was so excited. I love my husband but sometimes his senses are not the brightest.
I took a big bite into my bowl of rice, beans, & chicken and nearly broke multiple teeth trying to chew on the rice. So I asked him … why is the rice so hard?
I look over at his bowl and there’s barely anything inside. He tells me he watched the employee scraping the bottom of the rice container… to then go to the back and get whatever was left inside the other containers (which I highly assume it was the crumbly leftover scrapings that were sent to the dish pit)…
I ask him, why didn’t you just ask for the white rice? “They didn’t have any”. Uhhh.. at 6pm if they don’t have any white rice and scraps of hard crusty brown rice… Why are you still there ordering??? I would have just walked out.
I don’t understand how my husband could pay full price for half of the quantity… of what is supposed to be included in the price we pay?
I texted him also the details of my order which I always get extra corn and lettuce… I literally got 2 pieces of lettuce and some corn. I wish I took a photo but after that rock hard bite, I just dumped it in the trash.
Not only did I avoid a $5000 dental appointment to replace my existing crowns … but even the chicken was skimped on and salty. Really...
Read moreThis location in Shoreline is inconsistent. The customer service is poor and not friendly... The food was not readily prepared and fresh as advertised. An employee attempted to serve me food from the bottom of remnants from the container. You would think because it was around lunch time that the food, particularly the meats would be on grill, but no...
Another order, we asked for some juice on the burrito from the beans after speaking directly to the person fixing the burrito and she did not know the juice from the beans. One of the employees replied that they can't use all of the juice. No one asked for all the juice, it was a matter of not having a dried rice and bean burrito. Really? That's ridiculous because that isn't what we were asking for.
Unfortunately, this franchise like many others hire people without proper training and making sure that employees know and understand what they are doing with food, despite having a food handlers permit and what they're being asked to do. You can ask a trained dog, owner that.
Another issue is that an employee touched raw food, then went to the register ringing up food and back to the food without changing her gloves!! Never again going here, it was a waste of our time, gas, and energy for a burrito 🌯 and a business that does not value your time and patronage. You may even get sick!
Please take your money...
