Had a spectacular experience in the red fox dome at Hubbard Park. It is rare to find a restaurant that can combine great ambiance, top notch food and high touch service, all at a very reasonable price. Without a doubt, Russ and his team have really hit on something special here. Great view of Hubbard Park and the river from a cozy, warm dome; delectable food (the bison meatloaf was mouthwateringly delicious and the wild boar ravioli was other worldly); the service was the most conscientious and thoughtful I have experienced in a long time and they have taken great efforts to make all of their patrons feel safe. Bring the right shoes for uneven terrain, although if you are less adventurous you can walk all day on pavement. Unpaved trails are well maintained and well marked. You really can't get lost. On a Covid Saturday it was not crowded and everyone we passed was open to a socially distanced wave and greeting. Midwest nice survives. Oh, if you stay on pavement expect to compete with bicyclists.
