I have been brunching at this place for 30 years. The walk to the lodge is enchanting and the ambiance inside is hard to match. The brunch today was lovely. The carving station turkey was out of this world, the ham was a little on the dry side and unfortunately none of the chafing dishes had signs indicating what was inside so everyone had to open each one. The handles were sticky and did not have a cloth napkin tied to the handle like I have seen done at other buffets. The omelets were made to order and delivered to the table while still fresh and hot. The fruit all looked and tasted fresh and amazing. Do not miss the Wisconsin has browns or the bread pudding. You’ll be sorry if you skip either! Start your meal with a mimosa. We tried the cranberry mimosa and it was very good. Dan our server was clear, friendly and efficient. Used plates were removed in a timely fashion and waters were refilled. Unfortunately the reason I am giving only a 3 is due to the cleanliness. There was a cloth napkin behind a park bench outside on the walk leading to the lodge. Overall the dining room appeared well kept but the hall to the restrooms has a dank smell and food on the wall. In the restroom there were bulbs burned out, cobwebs under the stalls, giant cobwebs stringing from the light above one stall all the way across to the light above the other stall. Also a wire hanger in one of the stalls like there was a party last night or last week. It gave off the feeling of a park restroom which had been locked for months and just opened. Last, and I understand the lodge may not own or be responsible for this but the tunnel that takes you from the parking lot to the lodge has many cobwebs and other things hanging, and the bottom of the walls are very rusty. I guess if I owned or managed the restaurant, I would take responsibility to sure that the path my guests took was clean and inviting. Overall our family enjoyed our experience. We went to celebrate mom’s 81st birthday. I noted that in the comments section when I made the online reservation, but no one at the lodge brought it up or made any gave any special attention to us or my mom. Missed...
Read more-We had our wedding reception at Hubbard Park Lodge on 05/31/25, and along with all our wedding guests we had an absolutely wonderful time! The food was all phenomenal, the staff/team was awesome, and the venue itself is a beautiful and historic gem right off of the Milwaukee river.
-Our guests loved the neat 2nd level open-view balcony surrounding the main flow, and also enjoyed the outside patio with some nice evening sun! We had no issues fitting 150 people with a full buffet style setup (which is max for buffet style, traditional style I believe you can fit 175). Everyone had a great view of the action, and looking back on it I wouldn't have rather had our wedding reception any other way.
-It was NO problem after dinner to tear down tables to create a dance floor; in fact we even were able to get some great golden hour pictures outside while the team quickly and smoothly took care of everything! There was plenty of room, including enough for a FULL group photo.
-From start to finish the Hubbard park lodge team treated us well, and we had no issues with communication (or any notable concerns). They were also super accommodating the day-of by helping store our homemade desserts AND allowing/helping move materials in during off hours, which was deeply appreciated. We really thank the whole team and have also attached some pictures to really show the wonderful setting that Hubbard Park Lodge can offer...
Read moreWe went there Jan 13, 2025, for my dad's 82nd birthday!🎂 🥳 They had taken the tree down, but it was still beautifully lit up inside with Christmas lights! The packers were playing, so it was a very quiet day. Let me just tell you that this is a hidden gem! The waitstaff is so friendly and amazing. The food is buffet style on Sunday brunch with everything you could want to eat. I started with the door county cherry french toast bread pudding...I started with it because every time I go here, I am too full to try it from all the other food. OMG 😱 This is soooo 🔥 🔥 🔥 !!!! I could have just eaten that. It's sooooo yummers! But of course, I had to have an omelet created just for me. Let me tell you this, I can't stand turkey. Literally, I hate Thanksgiving food. They have the absolute best turkey!!! They carve it for you or ham or both. I could eat their turkey anytime. I don't know why it's so good, but it's a must every time I come to Hubbard Lodge. You must have it with the mustard and the cranberry sauce. They also have cheesy hashbrowns and cheesy biscuits. They have gravy for the biscuits and eggs, bacon, sausage, and other fried potato cubes. They also have tons of fresh fruit and even cereal. It's a hike to get in there, but you can request a golf cart. The beer garden and outside dome seating were open. I highly recommend this place, and it's always my dad's choice for...
