Ok I really gave this place a chance. I went there the week they opened. Experience was terrible. First off there is no table service persay . It is run like Culvers. You place your order they give you a # and bring out your food. We had breakfast food, the food was cold and undercooked. Since it is a very open space a small can't of people is very loud. When I got home I called and spoke to the mgr. She was very attentive to my concerns. Insisted that I give the place another try on the restraunt. So I waited a couple months. Now I came back for lunch. I spoke with a dif. mgr. told him that the other the said to have him look in the log. That I should receive 2 entrees, 2 desserts and 2 drinks. He came back and said no just 2 emtrees. What ever.... So we ordered soups, salad and a sandwich. The chili had a burnt flavor and to spicy hot. I eat spicy food. But this chili was not edible. The salad was good, sandwich a BLT... was horrible very dry, 2 paper thin slices of bacon.... Read moreI am giving 2 stars rather than 1 because I like the Chopped salad so much, the dressing is amazing and the ingredients are fresh. However, the service was very disappointing - I was made to look like a fool. Silly me, I ordered two Cobb salads online, thinking I was ordering two Chopped salads (my bad). Cobb salads are usually chopped salads, the ingredients are nearly the same and the images look really similar. When I mentioned the mistake (my mistake), it was pointed out to me that I ordered two Cobbs and not two Chopped, multiple times (yes, I know), but can I return it for the chopped? “I can take it back and chop it for you, is that what you’d like?”, multiple times. Today I came in to have my daughter fill out an application for our favorite neighborhood coffee/food/ and good service shop. After filling out the application we had the wonderful opportunity to speak with Estephanie today.
CBC knows what they’re doing when they hire. Estephanie is the perfect person for management. During the conversation she was transparent about the position, the expectations, the moral, the goal, and the obstacles that may come. The conversation alone is one that I believe most kids coming into the workforce with no experience needs to hear. My daughter walked out of the business with a better understanding of what to expect from any job and how she needs hard work, understanding, good communication, and confidence to succeed .
