We drove down the street from our lodging at the BW as this park is very large and sits near the opening into Show Low. There is tons of parking and various areas to this large park. Our interest was the walking path through the pines that pretty much goes around the perimeter of the park and we walked it three times with our pup. It was twilight and I was pleasantly surprised (coming from the city) not to see any sketchy people around, just lots of families and people having fun in the outdoors. Read moreWhat a great park awesome family atmosphere with baseball games on 3 fields , a disc golf course set thru tall ponderosa pines. There's 2 covered pavilions, one with a fireplace great for gatherings or birthday parties, a well kept and clean dog park with 2 areas one for large and one for smaller dogs, you can watch a baseball game from the dog park and sit under covered seating doesn't get better than that. I like that's it's a nice and big area but the playground needs a huge upgrade. The kids would LOVE more things to play on and there needs to be more places to sit for the adults.
