Would have been 5 stars, but they wouldn't let us fill our cooler with ice. I'm essentially living out of my car, and that free hotel ice is crazy important to me. Why are you going to offer free ice and then limit what it can be used for? Other than that the rooms were nice. Breakfast was kind of pathetic, and the milk tasted very strange. Wouldn't stay here again. I know its a small thing to be upset about, but that cooler keeps me going on these hot arizona days. Edit in response to owner: Consider getting a couple more ice machines. It gets over 100 degrees out here, and people need ice. Don't make your shortcomings the problem of your customers. Don't offer free ice if it comes with terms and conditions. Or at the very least, print that limitation on some of the paperwork you hand the customer, so they don't haul a cooler all the way across the property just to be shoo'd away. I've been to probably 30 hotels in the last 2 months and none of them have ever restricted the amount of ice a customer can take. They all have it figured out, I'm sure you can figure it out too. For $150+ per night, I think a cooler full of ice is the bare minimum to ask in return.

We were not expecting much from a small town on a lonely stretch of road, but we got caught in an unexpected snow storm and had to stop. Friendly staff. Offered cookies and water at check-in. Basic, motel-style with exterior door entry; newer construction (or remodel). Clean, fresh-smelling and modern decor. Door locks are deadbolt, key card entry with a chain secondary lock. In-room desk, tv, fridge, microwave Quiet and on the main road through town. Highly recommend if you’re passing through and need a place to rest for the night.

Very clean, quiet, and convenient. The room was spacious and well lit with the various lights turned on. Convenient power outlets on bedside tables and desk. The afternoon/evening person at the front desk was genuinely friendly and pleasant, as was the person working in the morning. The bed and pillows were comfortable.

Well, we were planning to stay at the Hampton Inn but it was a little pricey for the Holiday Season so we decided this trip we would look around. We settled on the Best Western here. We arrived, and the place is charming with a nice fireplace in the lobby. The check-in staff was very friendly, and the coffee and cookies in the lobby upon check-in were a nice touch. The hotel has been here for a long time (since 1963 I believe) and I was expecting the room to show its age. Boy was I wrong. They have taken good care of the complex. The rooms are immaculately clean, a pretty good size, and they are quiet! They had all the amenities a person could need (cozy towels and blankets as well) in the room, and based on my interactions with the staff, I am certain that I could have asked for salt shaker at midnight and probably had it delivered cheerfully.

I had mentioned that we were eating at a local restaurant that night and I was impressed when they called the room to tell me they checked and the restaurant was closed for the day -- without my asking!

The morning breakfast was hot, tasty, and included in the rate! Overall, we would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone requiring any level of service! Great job,...

Rented out the suite for my Anniversary. When arriving there were spider webs around the outside of the door, on the a/c. Which is understandable because it's Show Low. However, the suite had dead bugs inside, where the bathtub was, the fire place, dead stink bugs, and a live Wolf spider crawling up the wall next to the bed. We went to the front office and asked for the room to be cleaned again while we were out exploring beautiful Show Low. We came back to the room and it was cleaned up, however the bugs on the window as well as the stink bugs were still there. For the price I expected 0 problems. And a CLEAN room. The manager Audrey did discount the room for the problems less than 20% and displayed good customer service, but the reimbursement was minimal in comparison to the problems. because of this will not have a returning customer. On the positive note the breakfast was AMAZING. Probably would have had a different experience if the staff checked the suite room before guests come to stay to ensure there are no dead or live bugs, as well as paying attention to detail when cleaning again after the guest asks for you to clean the mess. Do things right the FIRST time. And maybe we would be...
