Visiting Shreveport for the first time has been such a lovely experience, but it wasn't until today that I really felt the full weight of natural charm and hospitality this town has to offer because of my time spent in Kings' Antiques this afternoon.
The stop-in was immediately off on the right foot, as the ever-helpful associate, Mary, was so incredibly kind to me first thing when I walked through the door. She didn't hesitate to greet me and give me a rundown of the floor layout, and when I told her I had never been to Shreveport before, she went the extra mile and informed me of the building's historical significance as well! I was so impressed with her attentiveness and knowledgeable advice.
The mall itself was immaculately organized and boasts a wide array of vendors to peruse. Unlike other experiences I've had shopping in antique businesses like Kings', the entire establishment was well-lit, well-organized, and well-stocked. I was hard-pressed to find an item I wanted that wasn't reasonably marked.
Great staff, great selection, great prices. I couldn't have asked for a better first time at Kings', and will be visiting whenever I am passing through Shreveport again.
Thank you to all the staff that...
Read moreHave spent a small fortune in this shop and have never had a bad experience until earlier this week. My 71 year old mother bought a chest and asked if someone could help her get the chest that was stacked on top of it down so she could drag her chest out. The workers REFUSED, were rude and said their manager would not let them move items. Told her she could call a company they contracted with to have it moved. Seriously? I went after work and when I got there was afraid if I dropped the chest that was stacked on the one Mom had purchased I would then have to pay for it. One of the employees finally came and helped me lift the top chest off so I could drag the one mom bought to the car. The employee was rude and you could tell very mad. The chest my mom bought was easy to get out to the car once the other chest was removed. Certainly not something you should have to contract with a moving company to move. Just be forewarned…if you like a piece of furniture at the bottom of a stack…it’s on you to get it out. This has been a regular and fun weekend dedtination for my Mom and I but we won’t be back....
Read moreKing's Antique Mall is unlike any store you will enter. It is under new management and the changes are spectacular. The environment is fun and inviting. Once you are inside the only problem you will most likely encounter is simply not having enough time to see everything. It is a store that you must visit often because the merchandise moves and changes so rapidly you may feel you are missing out if you do not visit a few times a week. Since I work here I can say with the utmost sincerity that we truly value every single customer. We have many frequent shoppers who are very dear to us and then we always enjoy the new faces who discover the wonders King's has to offer. I can honestly say I have never enjoyed a job so much. It really does not feel like a job at all. Come spend some time with us this holiday season. I promise you will...
