Rancho Madera Community Park — Attraction in Simi Valley

I went to Rancho Madera Park to scout out a location for a family picnic. It is a beautiful park, lots of open space, two playground areas with structures, two restroom facilities, and a large set of pavilions that have picnic tables and grills. There are a number of basketball courts as well as tennis courts. There is a bit of shade here and there, and the picnic tables are covered, but for the most part this is wide open space, so come prepared for a lot of sun. Passing through and loved spending time at this beautiful & peaceful park. I think it's great they give the sports players extra time in the evening to play on cooler, shadier courts. One thing is funny, this is yet another park where the birds are little beggars. Probably because I noticed some people come there just to feed the birds. They weren't too pesky. This park is always so clean, lots of green areas. You have the option of Tennis, Soccer, Basketball, and of course a playground area for the kiddies. I dont remember if they have a baseball field or not. They also have lots of parking spots, so I'm sure you'll never have to fight for a spot.
