my family and i went to the zoo for the easter hunt for obviously 3 and under because our son is 8 months old. well we did the hunt and ofc we walked around it was 42$ … and there were some tables set up with candy and little eggs and 3 tables did give my son a eggs and said oh he’s so cute, one lady even just gave him an empty egg just cause he don’t eat candy yet which was good and nice of here, we got to the giraffes, and there was another table, we went and let our son look at the giraffes, and then we went to the table and i said can he have one and she said does he have a piece of paper , i said no she said well then he can’t have one he needs to have a piece of paper, and crossed her arms and just stared at us and i’m like really ? the other tables gave us even an empty egg and she still refused. so we walked away and still she just stared at us and i don’t even care that it’s a simple easter egg, it’s the point that he’s a baby and you could of gave him at least ONE eggs out of the full tub of eggs that she had, very rude and it made me mad, volunteers or not you guys need to think about who your representing, and volunteering for, A CHILDRENS event. it wasn’t a egg for me it was for a 8 month old baby. like come on now. and i told one of the ladies that was in the front by the rest of the set up she then told me yes he was to young but i still told her that don’t give her the right to crossed her arms and stare at us and completely denies a BABY for a easter egg. like grow up. so annoying and frustrating, he’s a baby but it’s all ages and there shouldn’t of been a reason why she couldn’t of said yes. and was rude...
Read moreMove specifically the wolves i believe it was away from the bike trail or make a sound type of proof glass wall barrier ect so when they are in the back, people on the bike trails sounds ect doesnt disturb or startle an animal when they are near the keepers. Music, talking, altercations, music, high frequency/pitch noises like sqeeks from wheel bearings. I watch a 5/5/25 probably around 5pm i saw what seemed like my music startle as someone was handling them. That is probably the most dangerous things. And thats no ones fault exactly but the citys and the zoo's i had no idea thats where i was at on the bike path was behind the zoo being my first time on the path back there. Would be a nice notice for noise disturbance for the animals not only for the safty of the workers tending the animals as people are carelessly going by not thinking of those things. Id like to see some difference made on that either on the zoos or bike trial ect but thats a fight/argument between the two best thing be some type of notice or instalation. I apologize for startling the animals that could have possibly put someone in harms way as the timing of me going by and the animals freaking out had to have connection between the two and seeing someone next to them at same instant was a signal enough i cant just like not say anything noticeing that i could of just had to watch someone possibly be harmed aswell because of my inconsideration. Or even at...
Read moreThis is a smaller zoo, but very well maintained, and it does seem like they're always adding to it. For its size, there's a lot of variety of animals, from birds to big cats to bears. It's also a nice bargain. For the price of going to the movies, you could have a fun and educational experience checking out all the fascinating animals. There is a markup with the refreshments in the cafes and such, but that's to be expected, and again, it's no more expensive than the movies. For $11 today, I got a shareable portion of delicious fries and a cool commemorative refillable cup. The museum portion of the zoo has some realistic models of animals and is interesting if you're into that sort of thing. I also hear that there's a good selection of kids' programs and events at this zoo. You can also go during the winter and still have a great time, as we did several months ago. Keep in mind that all animals may not be available to see, but they do have special winter viewing areas. All and all, a very enjoyable time, and I will definitely...
